Yes, I'm stopping doing this, more or less because I wasn't able to pull off what I wanted to with this series. So what do I mean by that? Well, I started with two main ambitions: one, to update this every week, without fail, and two, not to repeat myself. Sadly I seem to have failed on both counts.. ^_^;;
Trying to find something semi-original to comment on each and every week, especially as a guy who hasn't got strong political beliefs and rarely gets worked up by things was harder than I had thought. Talking about writing was easy for me, anime and the books I read, but this would very quickly have evolved into just a review column, not a general discussion piece.
I managed the weekly schedule for a little while, but I have to admit I began to loose interest. The gap between this and the last entry really spells that out! Lol. Add in the fact that my work schedule has recently changed, making some of my writing a wee bit more difficult to do and getting the extra time to write this becomes harder. So, I've decided to bring it to a close.
For those of you looking for something to read on either a daily or weekly basis, there are a few things that I can recommend. All of these are sites that I visit quite regularly, reading the content based on my interests as well as enjoying the style and wit of the various authors.
My main source for comics news is .com which contains several columns I read. 'Lying in the gutters' is a good gossip/news source, written with a subtle sense of humor. I also like 'Pipeline' for general reviews of upcoming products and industry news.
I subscribe to 'Bad Signal' an email digest Warren Ellis sends out via his website As I've commented before I'm a big fan of his writing and he sends previews and news out regularly. He writes the column like he does his comics, dark, foul mouthed but quite entertaining. Not for the faint of heart, but I like it.
On the lighter side I check in every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for updates to .com and read the rants by Piro, Dom and Seraphim. They're often quite amusing, as well as informative on the site and anime in general.
I'm sure that you'll all survive not reading this, but I do have a yahoo and am also posting on a livejournal account I I hope you'll continue to read my fanfiction and original stories.
