Blind Spirituality –

A woman walked one day down the street she looked up into the sky and saw what we all see when we stop to watch the sky. Clouds shaped as crosses and pentagrams, she saw all types of religions symbols. It inspired her to do something about something she had lost as she went through her teenage years. She went searching for her spirituality. She tried first Christianity, of course she loved the music, people around filled her lungs with joy and love, yet it didn’t call her so she decided to leave that community and continue to search. She then turned to Wicca, it excited her, the mysticism, magick, the joys and loved that came from being with Wiccans. Yet again she felt like it wasn’t calling her so she left the community go to search once more.

After a few years searching once more she found something most of us cannot understand why people believe in it. She joined a religion that praised death, loved the idea of death, for some odd and unknown reason she learned about it. It wasn’t like Wicca or Christianity, it wasn’t like anything she had experienced. But in her heart she knew this was her place, a few years passed after that, she became isolated from family and friends, she hadn’t had a boyfriend for years, she became what we know as a loner or outcast.

Finally, her religion called that on her 25th birthday that she were to kill herself before letting herself spoil to the age of mortality. Her 25th birthday came up, she prepared herself, before hand thinking of the ways to kill herself, thinking of what was beyond the age of life. She decided she was to go out off a cliff, see the ocean and the blue water pelting the aging rocks just before she would die. And that’s what exactly happened, she jumped off the cliff, fell to her death, impaling herself and instantly killed.

Many of her friends and family cried and mourned her death; many could not understand why she had done that. To the government she became another stat among the millions of suicidal victims. To us readers we call it blind spirituality. But to her, to her it was the best thing she could have done, she had lived the life she needed. She was happy, happy all the way up till her death, for I as the writer can not say if she is still happy or sad in death because I can not know, so I do not write it. But it wasn’t blind, it was neither right nor wrong, so what was it? It was the duality of life and death, both dance around each other, neither is right or wrong, and this will continue till we either find a third option, or the answers of mortality is solved.

I wrote this after watching a T.V. show late one night, the death cult is made up. If I have offended anyone please flame me, and tell me why so I can either take the story off or change it. Hopefully I did my job right as a writer and tried to tell a tale that tells that there is no such thing as blind faith/spirituality, and everything is in the eye of the viewer. Please review.
