There were only worlds
In my sky

Tilting away furiously
Blazing with the remembered intensity
Of a cursed existence

In my mind
There were only thoughts
In my mouth
There were only words
Falling away one after the other
Tumbling and garbled in their haste
To greet the world

In my hands
There was only air
In my fingers
There was only music
Racing with glee
Pulling and tugging at my heartstrings
To escape the bounds of flesh

In my face
There was only wonder
In my blood
There was only life
Chasing each dream
Pounding out each second
Of this mad world

In my universe
There is always night
And in my sky
There are always stars
On and on forever
Reaching out to the very ends of time
To see what they find there
