Dreams awake and talk to me
Of many wondrous things
Of dragons blood and phoenixes
Of wizards and gold rings

I like to visit other worlds
Where nothing holds me back
I can escape my very mind
And the world I’d love to lack

My heart can tell me where to go
What I imagine holds the key
To open the door into my dreams
To bring those worlds to me

It only takes an instant there
For many years to pass
But when I awake in the new morn’
I wanted it to last

I know there will be other times
To visit them again
But until my dreams awake anew
I’ll live my life till then
