Jack stood at the helm of his ship, staring out into the ocean. The crew bustled around him cleaning and some playing with his children. So far, he and Natalie had four. All boys, except the youngest, his only daughter. Grant, named after Jack's father, was the oldest at fifteen, Ramsey the second oldest at thirteen, William at ten, and little Emma, a tender age of six. Jess played sword fighting with Emma. The little girl barely topped his thighs, but she fought as hard as her little body could.
Natalie breezed out of the gully, smiling. She called out to Grant, who was flirting with Jess's oldest girl. Grant turned and looked at his mother. Natalie tried to scowl, but she smiled. He was the spitting image of Jack. Tall, with a promising strong build. "I need your help. Tell Alexis you'll meet with her later."
Jack watched as his son trudged after his mother. He smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. Little Emma ran off to help her mother as well. Jess walked up to the helm with Jack. "She's a little hellion, ya know."
Jack nodded. "Just like her mother."
"Yer boy's trouble for me girl." Jess said, seriously.
Jack nodded. "Yeah. He is. But, what can we do?"
Jess sighed. "Lord. She's growin' fast. I feel like me and Em just met." He said, smiling obviously remembering the first time he and his wife, Emily, had met.
Jack nodded. "I know. But, it's been good."
Jess nodded, watching as Grant walked back over to Alexis. Jack chuckled. "I'm going to make sure Natalie and Emma are staying out of trouble down there."
Jess nodded. "I'll stay here."
Jack jogged down the stairs and sought out his wife and daughter. Natalie sat in a rocker, Emma curled on her lap, fast asleep. She smiled at Jack. He walked over to her and leaned down to kiss her. Natalie whispered, "I love you, " to him after they broke apart. Jack gently lifted his small daughter into his arms and carried her towards her room. Natalie followed closely behind. Jack smiled to her as he tucked Emma into her bed. Life was good and it couldn't get any better.
