Alone, But Not Lonely
They say happy people walk in pairs
Amidst a crowd of judgmental stares
Without lots of friends you are simply not whole
And loneliness soon will devour your soul
But completely alone is a rare place to be
I'm surrounded by spirit, creature, and tree
And though other people may mingle with me
When I'm distanced from them is when I'm truly free
I feel most alive when I'm all on my own
So I am not lonely though I am alone
