Twin Moons

Co written by Kelsick Wolfe and Ryan Espin

Titania: Baymick, Hyperia: The Base of Operations for Alpha Phoenix

The demon lord Kain Churchill looked out the window of his “friend’s” business office over the rest of the secret organization. The demon didn’t really know what to call his relationship with the creature in the form of an Asian looking man in his mid twenties. They weren’t really friend; they would never rely on the other for help unless they had some to gain. Kain didn’t even know the creature’s real name or what he was. Sure he had been told to call him Darkfire but the demon highly doubted it was his real name. So the demon stood there silently looking over his “friend’s” business.

The building was amazing efficient. Whoever said criminals were lazy had obviously never seen the inside of Alpha Phoenix. Everyone was hard at work. Assassins and thieves were either coming back from missions to collect their pay or training to hone their fighting skills. Hackers and computer experts were making money transfers and creating viruses they were hired to place in enemies of their employer computer. People were hard at work creating false identities and placing the money of the organization in multiple banking accounts of people who either never existed or where long dead. Humans, shape shifters, demons, witches, vampires, and demon hunters all working together. This was the only place in the world Kain would see this. The man who was responsible for all this was sitting right behind him and was always busy. Even Kain one of the most feared demons in the world had to wait about a month to get a hold of him.

“Are you just going to stand there? Or are you going to tell me what you’re doing here?” Darkfire asked coolly.

The demon turned slightly to the only other living thing in the room. Kain stood seven feet tall. His large muscular body was covered with deep navy blue scales that had ebony markings showing other demons his position covering his chest and arms. The same midnight color formed a small “v” on his forehead just above where two vertical stripes began that continued over his eye and stopped at his nostril. The demon’s narrow eye seemed to be nothing but slits that lead into oblivion. His nose resembles a hawk’s beak from the side. Two small golden color horns protruded from the beginning of his hairline. His hair fell like raven feathers down to his broad shoulders. Only his large pointed ears could be seen. He sat down in one the leather chairs placed in front of Darkfire’s desk and placed his feet, which were similar to a raptor’s only with the same coloring as him on the man’s desk. He folded his hands, which seemed to be from the same long extinct creature, and though for a moment. His reptilian like tail with yellow horns, protruded from his entire spine, and a small patch of black hair at the tip whipped at the floor. It made a sharp snapping sound every time it struck the tile.

“Could you cut it out? That is really irritating,” Darkfire commented. The demon raised his eyebrow slightly to see how serious the Asian looking man was. Kain raised his tail one more time as if to whip the floor again. Darkfire shot him an angry glare and the demon’s tail landed gently on the ground as a look of slight amusement came cross his face. “Start talking Kain because at the moment you are wasting both yours and more importantly my precious time,” Darkfire ordered.

Even though his positioning was relaxed Kain still looked powerful and deadly. The demon stretched and questioned, “And what makes you think your time is more important then mine?”

“The fact that I actually do something besides plot against members of my own kind,” he replied.

“I wanted to know if I could buy the items necessary for a spell that will bring me to another version of reality. At the moment I need a break from this one,” the demon explained.

“You can’t do that,” the man started, “Destiny made it very that…”

“I couldn’t care less about what she says,” Kain growled.

“Fine but if she gets pissed or something happens it is your fault, not mine. Got that,” Darkfire sighed. He hit a button on his desk and spoke into the intercom, “I need someone to get me the ingredients for a trans dimensional spell.”

With in only a few moments a shape shifter girl came up to his office with a box full of what Kain had asked for. Kain would never tell Darkfire how impressed he had always been with how well the creature had done for himself. In less than a hundred years he went from a simple thief to the leader of a worldwide organization that did any job for the right price and was the leading dealer in mystical items. Everyone involved in the supernatural world heard of his company with in at least a week. The young looking Asian man handed Kain the box. “This should give you one week in another dimension. Exactly one week so no matter what you are doing in one week of when you cast it you will be brought back here along with anything or anyone you are touching. So make sure you don’t have any passengers when it happens,” Darkfire informed him.

“Fine,” the demon hissed and left.

About a Week Later, Earth: Brookstone Meadows

Brookstone Meadows was a misnomer for this city. The name sounds so pleasant, so peaceful, and so quiet. Unfortunately, it was as true as Greenland. Brookstone Meadows is a city were crime flows through like a river. It is in need of help. Thieves, gang members and other creatures of the night roamed the streets. But in Brookstone Meadows there was good. A group of three unlikely heroes roamed the city. They were runaways from the police, they have no home, they are the last people you’d like to meet alone, but they are there to help. By daylight they hide, in the evening they fight. Fight for good. Fight for justice. Fight against criminals.

“Let’s go!” Wolfbang yelled as he and Derek charged towards a group of five men holding guns. Wolfbang was no ordinary man. He had black hair, gold and crimson eyes, a dark black trench coat, leather boots, black pants and sharp teeth. Wolfbang was a werewolf. During the day though he was an unemployed man named Trevor. He used to be a convenience store clerk in a town called Elizabeth, which was located in New Jersey, until the police ran him out.

Next to him was the blonde haired man named Derek. He was wearing a black t-shirt, shorts and skateboarding sneakers. Derek was not normal. He was a vampire.

An arrow hit a man with the gun directly in the head. The arrow came from a woman with a gray crossbow on a rooftop. She wore a black tank top, blue camouflage pants, black army boots and stripped arm warmers. Her wrists were covered with bracelets. She had black hair, which faded into red strands. Her green eyes were outlined with black, along with her lips and nails. Her name was Eve.

Wolfbang leaped into the air tackling a man to the ground as two men were shooting at Derek.

“What the hell?” One of the men said, “He’s not going down!”

“Just keep shooting!” The other man yelled.

“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.” Derek said, “Guns are pathetic against me.” Derek charged at the men knocking them both down with his fists.

“He’s getting away!” Wolfbang yelled as a man ran for his life. He panted as he ran down the road.

“Ugh!” the man said as he fell to the floor with an arrow stuck in his back.

“Nice shot!” Wolfbang yelled to Eve up on the rooftop.

“What?!” Eve yelled back.

“I said nice shot!” Wolfbang yelled back.

“WHAT?!” Eve yelled back.

“I SAID NICE SHOT!” Wolfbang said.

“Oh.” Eve replied. Eve’s vision was great. She had twenty ten vision, but her hearing wasn’t as good. Eve turned around on the rooftop. It was quiet and dark. She walked ahead to a metal ladder and started climbing down. Eve looked at Wolfbang and Derek down the alleyway.

“Ahh!” Eve yelled. She turned around as she felt something on her back. Eve noticed a blue skin colored demon.

This demon was certainly not from this dimension. His name was Kain. The demon looked at the young woman. Lately the demon had been a tad angry with both himself and a young woman from his past. He wanted to take the frustration he felt on something and he would prefer it to be a human female. The demon ran his talon on her cheek carefully so he wouldn’t cut her. “My, my, my, what do we have here? A young lady playing super hero,” he smirked. His hand moved down her back and down her pant a little. Though his hair looked friendly, Eve knew he was certainly a minacious lothario. She kicked him off and spun around, shooting an arrow into his forehead. He growled at her, “Damn human wench!” Kain pulled the arrow out of his forehead. Blood, which was a red so dark at first it seemed to be black, dripped from the hole in his forehead as it healed amazingly fast. He threw her against the wall and pulled her up gripping her wrist tightly.

“What the hell is going on?!” Wolfbang yelled as he raced over.

“He touched my ass!” Eve shouted pushing away from the demon.

“Must be a horny fellow,” Derek chuckled, “Get it? He has horns!” Derek fell backward form a sudden force that hit him. He looked up from the floor to see Kain’s blue tail, dangling from the hit onto Derek.

Wolfbang charged towards Kain and leaped into the air. Kain extended his arm and grabbed Wolfbang. He held him up by the neck and threw him from the side into a brick wall.

Eve looked at Kain. She put an arrow onto her crossbow and looked at Kain who had lightning in his hand. Eve rolled to the side as the lightning made a crater on the floor. She aimed at Kain and fired into his crouch area.

“Don’t ever try that to me!” Eve yelled. Wolfbang and Derek both grunted as the got up slowly. They both ran to Eve.

“What do we do?” Derek asked.

“What can we do?” Eve asked.

“Charge!” Wolfbang yelled as they all ran and screamed at Kain. Kain’s tail moved in front of Kain and tied around the three. It tightened around the three of them. Wolfbang closed his eyes and yelled in pain.

Wolfbang opened his eyes as he looked around. He stood next to a brick wall. The alleyway was dark and he looked up into the sky.

“Where the fuck am I?” He asked, “Eve? Derek? Where are you guys?!”
