Chapter 1
AN: My first original fiction ever, please review
It was the first day of senior year at Truman High school at a small town outside of Georgia.
Jade Matthews was eighteen years old and what you would call different. She went to school because she was bored, she never learned anything she didn’t all ready knew. She doesn’t care for football like the rest of the town, everyone in town treated her like an outsider because of it.
Jade lived at home with her mom and her sister, her name was Kelly: her twin sister. For twins they were like night and day. Kelly cared about her looks and she was captain of the cheerleading squad. She’d never stay home on a Saturday night being the most popular girl in school.
Jade only liked to wear black and white; she didn’t date because she found it pointless. Jade had brown hair with green eyes. Kelly died her hair blonde but had the same green eyes.
Jade and Kelly’s father died when they where young in a car crash, there mother raised them alone. Their mother’s name was Lily and she’s a Lawyer.
Brian Harbor was star quarter back, he had blonde hair with blue eyes. He was all ways been the best at any sport he’s tried and his grades were fairly ok.
The whole school treated him like he was a god.
Jades grabbed her books and met her mother downstairs.
“Hey sweetie, are you ready to get back to school?” Lily asked.
“Yeah, it beats sitting around and doing nothing.” Jade said
“Where’s your sister?”
She all ready left.” Jade said as she grabbed an apple from the kitchen table.
“Why didn’t she wait for you? Kelly could have given you a ride.”
“Mom you know Kelly and I don’t go to school together, she acts like she doesn’t know me even though we’re identical twins.” Jade explained as if her mother should’ve already known that.
“You and Kelly have to stop acting like you hate each other. Do you want a ride?” Lily asked with a sigh.
“No, I’d rather walk but thank you. I’ll see you later.” Jade said as she kissed her mom good bye then walked to school.
As Jade approached the school, she looked around and saw each group of friends. The cheerleads in one corner, the jocks not far away. And the cool calm kids just laughing and having a good time.
Jade felt out of place but that was nothing new. Jade had all ways felt like she didn’t belong.
Jade went to class, did her work, now was lunchtime and she wanted nothing more then to go home. Jade was sitting at the same table she’d sat at for the past three years, table seven. She had her lunch in front of her but she didn’t feel like eating so she pulled a book from her bag and began to read.

Brian was sitting at his table with his two best friends, Eric and Jake.
“So man, what are you doing tonight?” Jake asked Brain.
“I don’t know.” Brian said as Kelly and her friends Lisa and Monica walked up to their table and sat down.
Kelly had a major crush on Brain since they met but what she didn’t know was that Brian didn’t like her that way. He only saw her as a friend nothing more.
“Hey guys.” Monica said as she kissed her boyfriend Jake.
“Hey Kel, there’s something I want to ask you.” Eric said to Kelly once everyone was seated at the table.
“Okay, what?” Kelly asked with a smile, always seeming like the happy one.
“What’s up with your sister? I mean look at her can she be more dull? She always has her head in a book. If you weren’t identical twins, I wouldn’t believe your sisters.” Eric said as he glanced at Jade then Kelly.
“That’s just the way she is and has all ways been. I’ve tried to change her, but that’s how she is, closed in.” Kelly explained as she looked at her sister and shook her head; she was a lost cause.
Well one hour with me and she’ll be a whole new woman.” Eric said, the whole group laughed, except Brian.
“You guys should leave her alone, not every one can be as perfect as you.” Brian said as he looked down at his lunch.
“Does Brian have a thing for my sister?” Kelly asked in a sinful joking tone.
“No. My man has better taste then that.” Eric said.
“All right, it’s time to get to class.” Lisa said as she gathered her things and stood from the table.
“Man, I can’t wait till this is over.” Eric said rising as well. The group of friends walked to their next class, which was chemistry. They walked in the classroom and sat in the back as they always had.
Seconds later Jade walked in, she always sat some where in the middle of the classroom to blend in with the crowd, mostly hide from everyone around her.
“All right class, this year I’m going to assign seats and the person that is next to you will be your partner for the semester.” Mr. Teller said. The whole class groaned, they knew they we’re going to hate this.
“ This is how were going to do this, the first names I call, you will set at table one and who ever I call last will sit in the back and everyone in between.” Mr. Teller said
“ This is going to suck.” Jade thought to herself.
“All right first is, and people where going too do this bye last name so try and keep up with me.
At table one: Green and Smith
Table two: Lee and Carter
Table three: Banks and Hallow
Table four: J. Matthews and Harbor.” Mr. Teller was trying to finish when he was interrupted.
“Mr. Teller, can I have a different partner?” Jade asked quickly and hopeful.
“No, Ms. Matthews. You and Brian get to your seats.” Mr. Teller said.
Jade didn’t want to be partners with Brian because ever since she could remember, Brian and his friends have all ways picked on her. Everyone had know each other since they were born, it was small town.
Jade and Brian sat together but didn’t say one word to each other, they weren’t pleased with Mr. Teller's decision, he finished the seating arrangements then started the class.
“All right class you have two weeks to complete this assignment and I suggest you and your partner get together every chance you get because you’re going to need it. This is not going to be easy.” Mr. Teller said as the bell rang.
“So, my place or yours?” Brian asked Jade.
“Meet me at my house at 6, you should know your way there.” Jade said as she walked away.
“ Well this should be fun.” Brian thought.
