You wake up one morning
Take a look around
You long to return to sleep
So you can't hear the sounds
It's pounding on the window pane
It's ringing in your ears
The roaring never ceases
Until you've shed your tears
Your sunny day
Has turned to rain
It falls in drenches
Just like the pain
It's pouring through my very soul
It's drenched me head to toe
Though throughout my reticence
You would never know
I guess I will get used to it
This never ending pain
I guess I'm not the only survivor
Of never ending rain
