I killed the depression

by quitting what made me sick

and you said

“oh Hannah, you quit

at everything.”

Right daddy,

I love you too

But you see these scars?

I made them.

And I’ll keep making them.

I won’t quit at this.

Not ever.

I’ll show you

I don’t quit

at everything.

Aren’t you proud daddy?

Your little girl will never be

a track star,

a pianist,

an equestrian,

anybody,

but I don’t quit

At everything.

Aren’t you proud of me daddy?

Yeah, I love you too.
