Perseverance

I'm sorry I am alive
I'm sorry I didn't die before
Before everyone knew me
Before everyone loved me

If I was never born,
I would've caused less heartache
I wouldn't have been 'taken' away
My father wouldn't have died 'cause of me

If I never existed
Rose wouldn't have known me
And if she committed suicide then
Things would be different; maybe better

However, I am alive
I was born and I do exist
I must make the best of it
I must be strong for the person who matters most
I will persevere and overcome these obstacles
