Hold Me Tight: Tristian’s Story
A/N: As the title says, this is Tristian’s story, if you don’t know who Tristian is, please do go read my story ‘Hold Me Tight’ it’ll probably clear up a lot of questions. And if you’re one of the readers of ‘Hold Me Tight’, thank you for reading this story as well, I’m not planning on making it long, but knowing myself, it probably will be as long HMT. This story is categorized as angst, romance, fantasy and some slight horror. It is rated ‘R’ not because of any sex scenes (only mild ones) but for blood, violence and language… You have been warned.
All ages are in Traza years (add two to get ‘Earthling’ years), as well as any other time spans. (Twenty seven hours in a day, (seconds, minutes and hours the same as Earth. One week is eight days, six of Traza weeks is a month and fifteen Traza months is one year. (I know mathematically some things are off, just ignore them and enjoy the story).)
Italics will represent dreams, thoughts and memories.
If you have questions ask them in reviews please. And as always reviews are loved but on the basis that… flames are ignored, constructive criticism taken into consideration depending on my mood, positive input appreciated, random ramblings are welcome.
Tristian placed his left hand onto the double layer of glass, enforced with diamond like substances. His eyes roamed over the Andromeda galaxy, taking in its beauty as the space ship flew past.
“Prince Tristian, we are to land on Planet 40987 in a couple of hours. Please be prompt on returning to the control room before than, the entering into the atmosphere will be violent.”
“Alright.” Tristian flicked his eyes to the reflection of the Royal guard walking back out of the room. He could see the dark red Planet in the distance as the ship turned towards the center of the galaxy. He sighed and walked away from the chair and walked over to his desk to study some of the books he had brought along with him. Yet as he sat down to work, his mind flew back to the day when he was told he was going to Planet 40987, or Planet Akea, to train for the festival that was to be held for his coming of age… a whole year and a half away.
“But father, I do not find it necessary for me to go to Planet Akea.”
“It is for you to become stronger Tristian, the plans have been made.”
“But-”
“Do as you are told, you will be back before the festival.” The fourteen year old Prince stared up at his father. He slowly relented under the harsh gaze of his father and bowed his head.
“Yes father.”
“Good, you will leave in a week, prepare yourself.”
“Yes.”
“Prince.” A voice interrupted his thoughts.
“Yes?”
“Your brother is on the communications line in the control room… he wishes to speak to you.” The blonde turned to face the female guard at his door.
“I will go.” The female bowed and left the room. Tristian closed the book in front of him and slowly got up.
“How long were you planning on making me wait?” Toby demanded as Tristian walked into the control room.
“I did not realize I was keeping you waiting.” Tristian faced the camera and the screen, staring at his raven haired brother.
“Whatever, how has the ride been so far?”
“Alright, nothing to do.” Tristian sat in a chair that someone brought for him. “How about you? Father told me you were going to be studying earth again.”
“Yes… I am very well.”
“What do you find so fascinating about a Planet that is so like our own? It is not like you to find interest in anything other than blood and violence.”
“And women.” Tristian shrugged and leant back into the chair. “Well, I do not know, but I have this urge to come in contact with the inhabitants… to look, touch and converse with them… it just feels like there is a precious jewel on that planet that is waiting for me to do just that… a jewel I will loose if I do not go closer soon.”
“You sound more like me when I am explaining to you why I like sitting by the fresh water body.” Toby snorted and ran a hand through his hair.
“I do not believe I am a sentimental idiot like you.” Toby gestured to someone off screen. “Well dear brother I must leave… I will see you in a year’s time then.”
“Yes Toby… good bye.”
“Good bye.” The screen went black and Tristian sighed as he stood up. He stretched as he glanced around the control room and then walked over to the guard at the door.
“Send someone to my room when you need me in the control room.”
“Yes sir.” The guard bowed and Tristian walked out onto the corridors. Hit boot clad feet moved over the floor silently as he headed back to his room, humming softly to himself as he relaxed his body for a nap before landing.
Tristian woke up as he landed onto the floor beside his bed. His eyes shot open and looked around.
“What the…” The ship suddenly shook underneath and around him. “Oh boy.” He pulled himself to his feet and rushed out of the room towards the controls room.
“Prince! We have entered the atmosphere, please strap yourself in!” The captain yelled as he noticed the blonde trying to keep his balance. He did as told, sitting in front of the main windows staring down at the red and black planet.
Here goes a year of nothing but torture…
The ship shook violently as it plummeted towards the Planet, surrounded by a failing force field that kept the ship from bursting into flames. The guards at the Palace of Akea watched the vehicle regain control just before they crashed into the ground. They hurried away towards the ship at the command of their Queen.
“Was the ship supposed to fall out of control?” Tristian asked as he relaxed back into the chair.
“No sir, but it seems that we may have been traveling a bit too fast.” The Captain stood up and hurriedly, taking deep breaths. “I am sorry.”
“It does not matter.” Tristian waved a hand. “Could you get someone to carry the gifts which my father has sent for the Queen?”
“Yes.”
“I am going to get my own luggage.”
“I can get a man to do that for you.” The Captain bowed his head slightly at the young Prince.
“No, do not bother yourself.” Tristian stood up and grabbed the chair for support. “I will be at the dock in a few minutes.” He shook his head and slowly moved his shaking legs towards the exit of the control room.
Tristian stared down at all the guards who had come to greet him at the ship. He readjusted the bag hanging from his shoulder as he stepped down onto the Planet. The gravity was the same as back home, but the air was thinner and everything seemed to be red, black and silver.
“Prince Tristian.” A tall alien bowed to him, his bare arms thick with muscles. His hair was a deep blue and skin complexion white… completely white.
“Hello.” He smiled at the man and watched out the corner of his eye as the men from the ship handed over the gifts to the waiting guards.
“My name is Denae, I will be overseeing your training and of course your well being for the duration of your stay here.”
“Thank you.” Tristian watched as the Akean guards dropped abruptly to their knees and glanced to the end of the black carpet. A woman with navy blue hair was walking towards him, her skin was white but unlike the other Akeans, her lips were blood red. She took long strides towards him and the trainer who had dropped to his knees as well. “Queen Akea?” He asked as he bowed at his waist.
“Yes, you must be Tristian.” Her voice was soft and raspy.
“Yes, my father and I send our thanks for allowing me to train on your planet.”
“Ah, it is no problem; tell me how your trip here was?”
“Very well thank you.” Tristian gestured lightly at the piling gifts. “Those are from my father, a token of his appreciation.”
“I will send him my thanks later on.” She smiled and Tristian watched as her ebony eyes looked at him, examining his face. “The King sends his regrets on not being able to welcome you today but he had urgent business to attend.” Tristian nodded and slowly followed the Queen who turned to walk back towards the Palace, her long black dress trailing behind her. “Denae, come.” The trainer quickly appeared by their side. “First of all take his luggage to his room, then come to the throne room, show him around.”
“Yes your majesty.” The tall man took Tristian’s bag, bowed to them and disappeared in the opposite direction.
“I hope that you will find yourself at home here.”
“Thank you, and please do excuse habits of mine that may offend your Planet’s tradition and culture. I am yet to learn everything about Planet Akea.” The Queen smiled at him
“Well I am sure that anyone here will give you guidance, we Akeans are very gentle beings.”
A/N: There you go, there’s the prologue. I must say this now; Tristian is a bit different from ‘Hold Me Tight’. It’s all about character development.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter. And I’ll be updating mostly every week cause I’m starting school tomorrow and I won’t have that much time until the middle of February. So please be patient. And I am working on a sequel that’s mostly based around Brandon, that’s coming soon as well.
Enjoy the story.
