I was happy until five minutes ago
Then you came downstairs
And brought your devil with you.
I was even smiling.
When was the last time I smiled
For no reason at all?
I don't even remember.
Just like me to fall foolishly
For the false hope of happiness
While I'm still here.
Yes, here, where Hell smiles at me
Whenever I close my eyes.
Even Satan won't come here,
You all do fine on your own,
A great job screwing me over.
Everything any child dreams
Is hiding under her bed is here
With me, stuck with me,
Killing me.
Life sucked slowly out of me
Seeping around so I know it
Is gone from within me.
And you laugh, you smile
You don't see me dying inside.
Because none of you care,
Of course you don't care.
You're all too busy enjoying yourselves.
And each other, and the scum of the earth
That you don't know is here but
I see everywhere I look, closing in on me.
Drowning me, hideously distorted
Screaming inside my head so I choke
And gasping and praying for them
To go faster so I won't suffer through my death
So my agony will end but they don't listen
They want to torture me, see my eyes blaze
When I refuse to cry out with words and tears.
