Sitting on the grassy hill,
Waiting for the sun to set,
Braving the nightly chill,
Bidding my soul not to forget.
A nightly creature calls,
And my spirit moves me to see,
The sparkling twilight above the castle walls,
Giving me clues to who I might be.
I finally feel the chill crawling up my spine,
A feeling so sudden it gives me a fright,
Thoughts whizzing in this head of mine,
Surely I cannot find out tonight!
Yet again I am left alone,
To dwell upon forgotten dreams,
Dreams that have always outshone,
What the reality of my life means.
