Onyx Midnight

(A/N: The lovely igottold requested that I write a Sapphire Sky-esque poem only about night. I was inspired, and I wrote Onyx Midnight)

My time for rest

I, the Weary Traveler

Finally able to

Rest my head

During the

Onyx Midnight

That time is Now

Broken only by the

Silver Slivers of Moonlight

Creating a Dreamlike

Hazy

Not too unpleasant

Atmosphere

I still search

For my Ideal Land

By Day

But nighttime

Ah, nighttime

Here, it is picturesque

In these Woods

On my Journey

Beautiful Shimmering Moonlight

Tiny Flitting Stars

Silence

Gleaming and Wonderful

Broken only by

The Song of the Heavens

The silver unchained melody

Soothing me to sleep

I don’t want to leave it

But I must

To find what I seek

My

Perfect World

But the Nighttime

This

Perfect

Onyx Midnight

Will do just fine for now…

(A/N: kind of a companion to Sapphire Sky, but not really…)
