Forgotten

She smiled softly at herself

With a crystal tear running down

Her eyes hide a secret sorrow

Her face much suited a frown

Indispensable are her looks

Time has captured her soul

Then it leaves, trapping her

Making her heart dark as coal

Her heart has become cold and still

Seeking nothing warm to please

But deep within, a fleeting feeling

Yearns in desperation for a kiss

The one that can break the ice

Which trapped her in ageless life

Is the one who she loved

Left her heart stabbed with a knife

She searches for the one

The one who left her still

She wishes him back

She wishes him no ill will

And like a child she cries

Seeking comfort from her mother

And when her mother goes, she is

Alone now, not even a lover
