Something of Starlight

I took the rains that fall at twilight,
And snow melted by the early spring air,
And blended them both with something of starlight,
And created a creature that I hope is fair.

This is a creature like a horse in form,
But he has wide wings of the soft twilight gray,
And his dark eyes glint cold as a melting snowstorm,
And there is something of starlight in his neck's sway.

Look at him, how he shines, how he dances!
The brush of his tail is gentle as rain,
And there is something of starlight in the way he prances,
And something of snow in the toss of his mane.

This is a creature I formed of twilight,
And rain and snow and the early spring air,
And blended them all with something of starlight.
Will you look and tell me if the result is fair?
