i continue
to stare at the stars
even in the mornings
when they disappear from my sight
and even on rainy days
when the clouds hide the blue sky
and shower instead raindrops
as blessings
to wash the sins
of the worlds away

and still
i remain
to stare at the stars
through the rain
as my eyes flood with raindrops
mingling with my tears
until no one can tell
the difference
even myself
as the rain continue
to pour on me

and again
as i found myself
staring at the stars once more
through the rain
through all my fears
with my hopes and dreams
evident in my eyes
as i continue to hold on
to eternity
as endless illusions
cloud my mind

and all i can see
are the stars
as they laugh down at me
as i struggle to fly towards them
as i remain
