your time-hewn, marble lips
impervious to my amorous glances
have forever sealed themselves
shielding my endless advances

rove deep and far throughout the earth
my spirit will haunt you eternal
across the frigid barrens of your heart
and my passion burning infernal

eons ago, in a dark forest glade
the winds birthed your emerald soul
now those same winds do carry me on
in my tiresome quest to make you whole

turn not your flawless face to miss
the restless words i have hidden here
release the wings of tragedy
let them bear away your finite fear

your crystal tears plunge the mists of time
cold marble warms to flesh'd appearance
the patient winds draw me closer still
as i show you the meaning of perseverance
