What they see is a mask
I am only an actor
In my play of life
Ever deceiving the world
With my advanced skills.
What they hear is laughter
I may giggle and snicker
If they would look past that
They would see that I don not laugh with them.
What they know is nothing
They only see the shell
For which I have hidden under
For countless years
Never letting a soul in.
Now my shell is shattered
Broken into a thousand shards
Yet they only seem to walk around me
Not even bothering to clean me up
And but me out of my misery.
The can’t put humpty- dumpy
Back together again.
