Hello again people. This is yet another story for the charts. or whatever. Eheh, well I was bored so I decided to write another story. So, read on, okay?

A teenaged girl sat by the side of a lake watching the water. She had been living alone for a while, ever since her family dumped her in the streets. She had brown hair with white blond stripes in it. Her eyes were dark blue, and she was wearing a mid-sleeved green shirt, with blue jeans. Her name was Susan, but most people knew her as Sparx.

She grinned when she saw someone swimming towards her, as she knew who it was. The boy stopped half way out and then dived under. Sparx watched the water carefully, and then jumped back as the boy jumped out of the water straight at her.

"Hey, Sparx!" He said laughing. Sparx laughed as well, and nodded.

"Hi, Mike." She said, and her laughing slowed and she eventually stopped. She leaned back and looked at the sky. It was getting dark and she knew Mike would have to go soon. "What took you so long?" She asked, and he shrugged.

"I dunno, got caught in traffic." He said, laughing. Sparx shook her head.

"How do you get caught in traffic, when you swam here?" She asked, and Mike nodded, laughing.

"I dunno, maybe a school of fish got in an accident. It can happen you know." Mike said, and he sat down next to Sparx. "Nice night, huh?" He said, Sparx nodded slowly, and lay back on the grass. She watched the stars, realizing something she hadn't before. She rarely smiled, and even then it was a smirk or something like that. But when she was around Mike, she smiled and laughed.

"Sometimes you're just too odd for your own good." Sparx said, and Mike nodded.

"I guess, but since when is there something wrong with that, hmm?" He asked, and Sparx shrugged. She frowned slightly, and looked over at the water. Then she smirked as she saw someone in a boat motoring towards them.

"Looks like we got ourselves some intruders." Sparx said, getting up and watching the boat. As it neared Mike jumped into the water and Sparx created a slight electrical blue glow on her hand. Mike jumped out of the water behind the boat, though he wasn't as a human, he was a large shark. The man turned and screamed as the shark landed on the boat, creating a large hole in it.

The glow spread from her hand and soon covered her entire body. The glow grew and she started to change form, wings sprouting from her shoulders and her feet becoming clawed and bird like. Her hair turned into bright purple feathers, and her eyes grew cold and falcon like. She smirked and flew over to where the shark was thrashing and helped him off the boat, turning to the man in it.

"Hello there." She said, in a voice slightly like her own, only colder and without feeling. "Excuse my friend, but he couldn't help himself. He loves boats, says they're good for his digestion." Sparx smirked and flew over to the shark, which was changing into a human again.

"Let's finish that idiot right now." Mike said, and swam over to the boat, a wave forming below him. He stood on the wave and Sparx flew beside him. "Now you will know why this island is said to be haunted. Because we live here. Stranger are not permitted, so leave. NOW!" Mike finished, and the boater frowned and pulled out a rifle.

"I ain't going anywhere, fish boy. There's a place in the aquarium for a boy like you." He said, and fired. Sparx's eyes widened as Mike was hit. The wave sunk, and mike floated on the surface of the water. Sparx flew down and floated above him. The man in the boat smirked and threw a net to catch him.

"Not so fast, boat boy." Sparx said, screeching at him. The man merely shot a small dart at her. She screeched hopelessly and soon grew drowsy. She flew back to the island so as not to drown. She watched as her vision blurred and Mike was brought onto another boat that they hadn't noticed. But as soon as the boat started back to shore, she fell into a deep sleep.

a few hours later

Sparx woke with a start, looking around noticing it was dark. She was still in her mutant form, and she flapped her wings slightly to be sure she was okay. She sighed slightly and looked out at the lake. Then she remember what had happened.

"No." She cried. "Mike." She sat there tears streaming down her face. "What have I done?"

How did you like it? I thought it was pretty good. Don't worry; it isn't a big mushy story, just a girl trying to get her only friend back. - R&R please!
