Why couldn't you just say?
The reason you ignored me for so long,
Tell me what I've done wrong,
Instead you just left me wondering,
Now you're befriending me again,
Am I meant to just go with it?
And forget about the past,
Forget the fact you hurt me.

You might be able to do that,
'Forgive' me,
For whatever I'm meant to have done wrong,
If it was just for me being me,
Then I haven't changed towards you,
And I'm not prepared to change for you,
Why should I have to think twice before I say anything?
You were meant to be my mate.

I don't know what you want me to do,
Do you want me to say sorry?
For being ignored by you,
Or for being myself,
Do you want me to act as though nothings happened?
And just carry on as 'mates'
I do want to sort things out with you,
But you have to realise,
You're not the only one that's been hurt.
