If life were anymore confusing I think I would be dead. *laughs* The story behind this little thing is funny. I was out of it when I got the idea for it, too. Anyway…R/R please.

Summary: Twelve Jewel Computers come to Eden to reunite with their Commanders to stop the evil plans of a Goddess, but all trouble is around ever corner, and the Goddess can take over a friend.

Jewel Computers

Part 1

The year is 3088, December 26th. On the planet Eden far from our blue planet Earth. Sixteen-year-old Okami Yami Cloud is walking to his house, carrying his light blue laptop in his arms, "Okami-kun! Matte!" someone yelled, running up to the boy. Okami spun around to see his fellow classmate, eighteen-year-old Ryu Yugi Majutsu running toward him with his red laptop under his right arm.

"Konban wa, Majutsu-san." said Okami, looking up at him.

"Okami-kun, can I walk you to your house?" he asked, blushing lightly.

"Oro? Oh, I'm not going home just yet, I have to pick up my little brother, Shuichi," said Okami, looking down the rode, toward the middle school.  Ryu hit his head, startling Okami.

"I just forgot…I have to pick up my little brother, too." said Ryu, laughing, "How 'bout we walk to their school together?"

"Sure, we're going to the same place," said Okami, oblivious to the other boy's emotions for him. They started walking to Diamond Star middle school, when a bright flash of light filled the reddening sky, "What the hell's that?!" yelled Okami, shielding his eyes with his laptop.

"I don’t know!" Ryu yelled back, shielding his eyes with his laptop as well. The light died down and they slowly lowered their laptops from their eyes. In front of them stood two girls in gowns with fairy-wings, the color of their hair. One had turquoise colored hair, and turquoise colored eyes, and the other had red hair, and red eyes.

"W-who are you?" asked Okami, talking a step back.

"I am Turquoise," said the one with the turquoise gown, bowing to Okami.

"And I am Ruby," said the other fairy, bowing to Ryu, "We are here to ask for your help, brave knights."

"Our…help?" asked Ryu.

"Brave knights?" asked Okami, "We're knights, but why would fairies ask for our help?"

"We are two of the twelve Jewel Holograms," said Turquoise, "We are the protectors of the stars and the planets."

"And what does that have to do with us?" asked Okami.

"Well, here on your planet Eden live twelve people who rule or should I say command us Jewel Hologram, our friends have been taken prisoners," said Ruby, "If we do not act soon, and the others, those taken captive will be turned against us."

"We'll help!" said Okami, enthusiastically, "Saving fair maidens is a knights job."

"Domo arigatou." said the fairies, bowing to Okami.

"This may hurt just a little bit," said Ruby, lifting a gun up and pointing it at Ryu's left ear, making him back away.

"Wha-what exactly are you going to do with that?"

"Hold still, you big baby, you don't want me to miss do you?" said Ruby, she pulled the trigger and shot Ryu's ear.

"Ouch!" a small red jewel appeared on his left ear, "What's this?"

"The Jewel Computer," said Ruby, making the gun disappear, "With that you can transform it into a sword or anything else you want." Turquoise turned to Okami and walked around him, looking at his body.

"You're not full Celestial, are you? You barely half." Okami watched her.

"So?"

"What are you?"

"One third elf…one third Celestial…and…one third Demon." said Okami.

"I can tell. For the Celestial part of you…you may not have your wings out, but there's a small trace of their magic," said Turquoise, "You're the last of your kind, and also…crown prince of the Celestials. However, you're also the first of your kind. A Starmaker." Turquoise placed a small gun to Okami's left ear, and pulled the trigger. A turquoise jewel appeared on his elfin ear, as a small drop of blood hit his shoulder, "With these you will be able to contact us and anyone else with a Jewel Computer wherever you go." a light snow had begun to fall around them, chilling the air.

"Arigatou." said Ryu and Okami in unison, bowing to the holograms.

"You're brothers should be ready now," said Ruby, taking a step back, "We shall contact you once we get information on the whereabouts of the other Jewel Holograms, and their commanders. Sayonara."

"Sayonara." and with that, Ruby and Turquoise disappeared in a flash of glittering light that swirled around the boys.

"It's staring to snow harder, we should hurry." said Ryu, turning to Okami. He nodded, and they hurried down the sidewalk, walking towards Diamond Star Middle School. Shuichi Cloud and Yusei Majutsu stood outside the gate waiting for their elder brothers. Shuichi had a topaz jewel in his left elfin ear, and Yusei had an amethyst jewel in his left ear.

"Ni-chan!" yelled Shuichi, happily when he spotted Okami.

"Konban wa, oni-chan." said Yusei, bowing to Ryu.

"So those girls visited you as well." said Shuichi, noticing Okami's turquoise gem in his left ear.

"Hai." said Okami, "You two are going to help out as well, ne?"

"Uh-huh." said Yusei, "But we have to find those two other people."

"We should keep an eye out for everyone who might be the Jewel Commanders, remember they're not exactly sure that those six holograms are captured." said Okami, playing with his earring.

"I don’t know where to look though," said Ryu, turning to Okami, blushing, "Do you think they are here in Avalon?"

"Maybe. I hope that they aren't Demons. They might be in Edea, though," said Yusei. Okami turned away sadly. An alarm rang out, coming from Okami's watch, breaking the awkward moment. He looked down at the time and sighed.

"I have to get back to the Shrine, come on Shu-chan. Ja ne, Majutsu-san."

"Sayonara." with that Okami and Shuichi left, walking toward Avalon's Shrine. When they got there, Shuichi ran in and started an experiment on his Jewel Computer earring. Okami walked into his room and set his laptop down on his desk. He took off his school uniform and pulled on his priest robes. Shuichi ran in, putting his earring back in his ear. Okami looked down at him, smiling.

"What did you find out about those earrings?" asked Okami.

"Not much. It's new technology, far too advanced for me to figure out," said Shuichi, shrugging.

"You? Not able to figure a computer out!" said Okami, laughing.

"You don’t have to patronize me, ni-chan." said Shuichi, turning away from Okami. Okami hurried over and hugged him.

"Gomen, Shu-chan, but we need more information on those earrings, I know you can do it. Maybe with these we'll be able to find out where those two other Jewel Holograms are." said Okami, ruffling Shuichi's hair. They walked out of his room and Shuichi went back to his, while Okami went to the main shrine.

"Sugoi! This Shrine is so old-fashion! It's kawaii!" Okami heard a girl say. He sat down in his usual spot and waited for anyone who might just need the young priest. He saw the girl who had spoken, she had long blue hair and purple eyes, she was wearing her school uniform and a young boy was with her. He had short, messy blue hair, and purple eyes. The girl saw Okami and quickly ran over to him, grabbing his hand, making him blush.

"Sugoi! You're so kawaii! My name's Sora Yami." she said.

"Ano…my name's Cloud Okami…" said Okami, "What…do you need with Avalon's Shrine."

"Me and my brother, Tai, just came to look around." said Sora. Tai stepped out from behind his sister and bowed to Okami, blushing. Okami bowed back, smiling. Shuichi ran in and slipped on the floor, he skidded to a halt after hitting Okami.

"Ano…this is my younger brother…Shuichi…" said Okami, trying to get up. Suddenly, four loud beeps filled the air. All of them covered their ears, that's when they noticed that they all had a Jewel Computer earring.

"You have a Jewel Computer!" they yelled together. Turquoise and Topaz appeared along with two other Jewel holograms.

"I'm Garnet," replied one of them, standing next to Sora.

"And I am Pearl," said the other one, standing next to Tai.

"I am Turquoise, and this is Topaz," said Turquoise, "This is Cloud Okami, and Cloud Shuichi."

"I'm Sora Yami and this is Tai Yami," said Sora to Turquoise and Topaz. Topaz smiled.

"Yatah! We've found the two missing Jewel Computers before Kishima-jin!" she said, happily.

"Kishima-jin? Who's that?" asked Okami.

"Kishima-jin used to be the Jewel Holograms Goddess, but one day her boyfriend left her, she got so angry and turned evil," said Turquoise.

"You had a Goddess?" asked Shuichi.

"Hai, even us holograms need something to believe in, Shuichi." said Topaz.

"Sorry, I just-"

"That's okay, don’t worry about it," said Topaz, quickly, "What we need to worry about is when Kishima-jin is going to attack. The Jewel holograms are strong, but soon, I am afraid that they will begin to get weak and she will gain full control over them, and their masters will fall into comas."

"We must stop her now then." said Okami.

"Okami-san, please contact Ryu-san and Yusei-kun with your Jewel Computer." instructed Turquoise. Okami reached for his earring and pushed it. A blue light flashed and a visor appeared over Okami's eyes, the same color as his earring, "Now please say, 'Contact Ryu'."

"Contact Ryu." said Okami, his screen blurred and then Ryu with appeared with a red visor over his eyes.

"Konban wa, Okami-kun, what is it?" he asked, smiling.

"I need you-" Ryu cut him off.

"I thought you'd come around sooner or later," said Ryu. Okami blushed dark red.

"Y-you didn't let me finish, I need you and Yusei-kun to get over to Avalon's Shrine." Ryu kept smiling.

"Okay," said Ryu, sweetly, making Okami blush more, "I'll come over with Yusei-kun right away." Okami's visor returned to his earring and he pushed his bangs out of his eyes, standing up.

"Ryu-san and Yusei-kun are on their way, while we wait, though, I'll make some tea." he said, blushing at Ryu's name, "Shuichi-kun, please show our guests to the living room, and once Ryu-san and Yusei-kun get here, take them to the living room as well." Shuichi nodded and led Sora and Tai to the living room. When they were out of sight, Okami sighed deeply, 'Why's Ryu-san acting like this? And why is he making me feel this way?' he blushed again, and quickly ran to the kitchen. Okami walked into the living room carrying six cup of tea, he heard Ryu and Yusei open the living room door, so he was glad he decided to bring those two extra cups, "Shuichi, why don’t you, Tai-kun, Yusei-kun, and your holograms find out how to track down the other Jewel holograms with our Jewel Computers." said Okami. Shuichi smiled at his brother and the six of them left, "Now, Turquoise, can you tell us more about why Kishima-jin turned evil, it might be a real big help. Because I don’t want to kill someone and find out that they're innocent, not again…" a little girl's image appeared in Okami's mind, but he shook his head to clear his mind. Ryu was about to put his hand on the younger boy's shoulder, but decided against it.

"What do you mean?" asked Turquoise, suddenly. Ryu turned away.

"It was a while back now, when Okami-kun was ten-years-old, we were given a mission. It was a mission to destroy a young girl. They had told us she was the one who had ordered my father, and Okami's parents to be killed. We both took the mission without hesitation, thinking that it was the only way to get revenge. Well, when we got to where the little girl lived, we split up; Okami was the one to get to the girl first. When I got there, she was dead, and Okami-kun was on his knees, crying." Okami clenched his fist in anger.

"After that, when we returned to HQ, they told us that there was a report. The person who had killed my parents and Ryu-san's father had been killed when they faced my parents. My mother and father had sacrificed their lives to save me, and anyone else that girl might have gone after. I left the group that day and came back to Avalon with my brother."

"I left, too, but I went to Edea to take care of my mother." Ryu looked at Turquoise, "Now do you see why it is extremely important for you to tell us everything you know? If we are not given enough information, you can count me and Okami-kun out, and if we're out, our brothers are definitely not going to help you either." Okami looked up at Ryu surprised.

'Ryu-san…' thought Okami, he quickly turned away, blushing. Turquoise nodded.

"A young hologram knight came to Psystar, our town. Kishima-jin took an automatic liking to him; actually, he looked much like you, Ryu-san. Well, they went out and found that they really liked each other." she let out a sigh, "One day though, Kishima-jin saw the knight with another woman."

"What did she do?" asked Sora, looking at Ryu, making his blush lightly. Okami was ready to kill her.

"She got mad, so mad that her light power turned dark, and she soon became evil." said Turquoise, "She was so angry and evil, that she destroyed the knight and the woman, but the truth was that the woman had been a jeweler, and the knight was only visiting her for a ring to give to the Goddess."

"We used our powers to banish the Goddess to Darkstar, far from Psystar," said Topaz, "She said she would have her revenge, and so she scattered us across Eden. We searched for you and she searched for us."

"Does that help?" asked Garnet. Okami closed his eyes, and turned away from the group.

"Made me relive my past, hmph, yeah it helped." spat Okami, "It gave me an idea."

"Well, if it's using me as bait for Kishima-jin, you can just forget it, bishonen." said Ryu, crossing his arms. Okami grinned.

"Me? How could you think I would use you for bait? I have a much better idea."

"And what is that?" asked Sora.

"Can't tell ya just yet…oh…it's you. Anyway, I need to work out the bugs with Shuichi," said Okami, mostly to Ryu and the holograms.

"Okami-kun, what's your idea?" asked Ryu, leaning over, putting his face extremely close to Okami's. Okami couldn’t help but glance at Ryu's lips; he blushed dark red, and quickly looked away.

"D-don’t worry, I-I got it under c-control." said Okami, gulping. Ryu smiled, and brushed Okami's bangs out of his eyes. He leaned closer and whispered something in Okami's ear. Okami quickly jumped up afterwards, "D-do you want more tea?" Ryu smiled, and pulled Okami down into a sitting position next to him.

"That's okay. Anyway, Oka-kun, how's the Shrine doing?" asked Ryu. Okami looked up at him.

"Okay, but today was a slow day." Ryu looked confused, "Kids have been coming lately for charms. Someone spread a rumor that our love charms worked immediately without you doing anything…they don't work that way…"

"How do they work?" asked Sora.

"Ryu-san, how's your mother doing?" asked Okami, ignoring Sora, and turning back to Ryu.

"You know, she's not doing too well, but she's alive, and right now, as long as she's happy, that's all that matters."

"Turquoise-san, Shuichi said that the Jewel Computers were new technology, but from what you say they should be old," said Okami, changing the subject.

"They are, but they are also very advanced." said Turquoise, "Far more advanced than any of the technology in Eden."

"Who created you?" asked Sora, glaring at Okami.

"We don’t know, whoever did though, is long dead," said Garnet.

"Maybe he left his soul on a disk, or turned it into a hologram before he died." suggested Okami.

"Can you live without your soul?" asked Ruby.

"Of course, your soul only gives you emotion. As long as you have a heart and brain you can live." said Okami, "If he was intelligent enough to create the Jewel Computers and you holograms, he would be smart enough to do something like that." Ryu ruffled Okami's already messy hair, making him blush.

"You're smart, I see where your brother gets it," he teased.

"Hmm? That explains Shu-chan, but what about Yusei-kun?" asked Okami, giggling. They all laughed, well, all except Sora, "Ryu-san, I'm glad you can back to Avalon."

"Even though it means you remember your past whenever you look at me?" Okami blushed.

"You were my only friend back then, not counting Shu-chan." Okami looked up at Ryu, "And that's all that matters. But why'd you come to Avalon?"

"Ka-san was worried about something."

"About what?" asked Okami.

"A demon came to Edea, a day before we moved to Avalon, he was after my Demon Slayer Staff." said Ryu.

"Ara!" gasped Sora, "What did you do?"

"I protected Yusei and my mother," said Ryu, "he didn't get anywhere near the staff, though." Sora was in the background saying things like, "That was so brave!"

"But how could a demon get to Edea? I mean it's up in the air," said Okami, "The only reason I found it was because I was flying too high, got hit by lightning, and crashed into the Shrine."

"Right into my bedroom, too. You scared me half to death," said Ryu. Okami started laughing, and then looked down at his watch.

"You should go now or you'll have to walk home in the dark."

"I'm so glad you care," said Ryu, glomping Okami. Okami started blushing again. Shuichi and the others came in, and started laughing at Sora trying to rip Okami out of Ryu's arms.

"Shu-chan, did you find anything out?" asked Okami, after spraying Sora with a jet of freezing water.

"No, ni-chan, what time is it?"

"9:30." said Okami.

"We should go now," said Tai, grabbing Sora's hand and tugging her away. Ryu, Yusei, and their holograms left shortly after them.

~Next day~

Okami woke up to a small blue fairy poking his face, it took him awhile before he realized that it was Turquoise, "Ohayo, Tur-san," said Okami, yawning.

"It's time for you to get ready for school," said Turquoise. Okami sat up and yawned. He walked to his bathroom and took a shower, and then pulled on his school uniform. He picked up his laptop and exited his room. Shuichi was already up, eating breakfast.

"You’re up late, ni-chan," said Shuichi, worriedly, "Are you feeling all right?"

"I'm all right. I have to hurry up. My sensei said if I got one more late slip, he'd give me detention. Take care of the Shrine before you leave."

"Don’t worry."

"I never do when you're in charge, Shu-chan." Okami ran out of the Shrine and down the street leading to his high school. Snow covered the ground, glittering in the sunlight. A snowball came shooting throw the air and hit Okami in the back of the head. He spun around to see who had thrown the snowball. Ryu stood on a wall, holding another snowball in his right hand, throwing in up into the air, and catching it again, "Why the hell did you do that?!"

"No reason." said Ryu, dropping the snowball, and jumping down from the wall, walking past Okami.

"We're going to be late for class, you know," said Okami, running after him. Ryu shrugged.

"So?"

"What do you mean 'so'?" asked Okami, angrily, "We might get detention. I need to be at the Shrine after school."

"Almost summer, in January." said Ryu.

"Hmph. The least you could do is help me out, you were the High Priest in Edea."

"Are you…asking me for help?" Okami blushed, and turned away.

"Maybe, it all depends."

"Then my answer is maybe, as well."

"What do you mean maybe?"

"Just that, maybe." he said, winking.

~After school~

Ryu had just bought a blushing Okami ice cream before they went to pick up their brothers, "You know, you didn’t have to do this…" said Okami, licking his ice cream.

"I know, but you're kawaii when you do that." said Ryu, laughing.

"D-do what?" asked Okami, blushing dark, dark red.

"The way you eat your ice cream, I think it's kawaii." Okami pushed Ryu into a wall, making both of them blush, "You're being very-"

"Someone's following us." said Okami, "They've been following us for awhile." Ryu looked down at Okami, and put his arms around him.

"They must want Yusei-kun and Shu-chan as well…"

"What should we do?"

"We can’t put those two in danger, they haven't had the training we have had," whispered Ryu, leaning close to Okami's ear, "We'll fight him now. Get your sword ready." their earrings changed into visors.

"Jewel Computer download sword!" they yelled together. Their visors transformed into long swords with a jewel at the top of the hilt.

"Are you ready?" asked Ryu, forcing Okami to take a step back. The younger boy grinned.

"Of course I'm ready." they turned to look at the sidewalk to their right, and found themselves facing a tall man, Ryu barely went to his elbow, "Great." Ryu quickly stepped in front of Okami.

"What the hell do you want!?" yelled Ryu, angrily, swinging his sword in front of him.

"Hee hee hee." the man laughed, making Ryu and Okami take a step back, "I am a servant of Kishima-jin. Perhaps you've heard of me-" Ryu cut him off.

"I'm not sure that's something to brag about." said Ryu, "Someone's servant, heh, you're her lapdog, obeying her every command."

"Why you! Disrespectful punk, how dare you speak to me that way! Now you shall die!" he lunged at the two boys, but they jumped out of the way and landed on one of the lampposts on either side of the street. Okami crossed his arms, his sword floating by his shoulder.

"I think I'm the only one that is in the position to decide who lives and who dies," he said, glaring down at the man. He grabbed his sword, made sure the blade was upside down, and lept into the air, landing lightly on the giant's shoulders. He drove the blade through the giant's skull, he fell to his knees as Okami jumped back to the ground, near Ryu. The man had dissolved into a mound of sparkling dust.

"It…dissolved…" said Ryu, stepping closer to Okami.

"What happened?" asked Shuichi, running over to them with Yusei. Both of them had their visors on, ready for battle.

"This…um…man was giving us a bit of trouble." Okami and Ryu's swords disappeared, "But we took care of it." Shuichi knelt down near the dust, and filled a small glass bottle with some of the dust.

"I'll run some tests on this." said Shuichi, "Maybe I'll be able to find where it came from." Tai and Sora ran up to them, both out of breath.

"Ryu-san, are you okay?!" asked Sora.

"Uh…yeah…" said Ryu, "But I'm worried about Okami-kun." Okami blushed, looking at Ryu, while Sora glared at Okami.

"You don’t have to worry about me," said Okami, rubbing the back of his head, laughing. Ryu's eyes lingered to Okami's stomach, and he had a worried look on his face, "Oh, I've got an idea, since we don’t have school tomorrow, why don’t you all sleep over at the Shrine?" Yusei elbowed Ryu in the ribs, snapping him back to reality.

"Uh…yeah, sure." Okami raised an eyebrow at him, but let it go. Ryu leaned over Yusei, and whispered, "What'd I just say yes to?"

"Moron," Yusei whispered back, "You just can't say no to him, can you?"

"We'll go, too," said Tai, quickly, before Sora could protest.

"Good. Meet us back at the Shrine." said Okami, grabbing Shuichi's arm and teleporting back to the Shrine. Yusei looked up at his brother.

"Please tell me you weren't trying to be perverted when you were staring at Okami-san." Ryu blushed, but quickly shook it off.

"I wasn't trying to be perverted. I was just thinking." Tai and Yusei started making kissing noises.

"About your beloved Okami-chan." they said together, making Ryu back away, blushing. Sora started yelling, but the others ignored her.

"Oh, come on ni-chan, I know you want Okami-san." said Yusei, grinning, "I hear you at night, 'Oh, Oka-kun *kiss*'. If only Okami-san wasn’t so dense about things like this." Yusei sighed.

"Yeah, he's the smartest person I know, but he doesn’t know anything about love." said Ryu, he looked down at Yusei, "Anyway, we should go home, tell mom, pack, and then go to the Shrine."

"Oh, Mr. Overachiever." said Yusei, sarcastically.

"Come on." said Ryu, dragging him away.
