Part 5

~Later~

Okami sat up in bed, and looked around the room. He saw Hisoka sitting in a chair next to his bed, sleeping. Shuichi was sitting on the floor with his head resting on the bed, asleep as well. Okami smiled at the two, "You both look so peaceful when you're asleep…" Shuichi woke up, and looked at Okami.

"Ni-chan! You're up! I'm so happy you're okay!" Shuichi jumped on the bed, and hugged Okami.

"Shuichi, I hope you weren’t up late, you need your rest you know."

"So do you ni-chan."

"I'm okay now, you don’t have to worry." Shuichi looked over at Hisoka, "Did you and Hisoka-san talk while you were looking after me?" Shuichi shook his head, "So you don’t know yet, do you?"

"Know what, ni-chan?" Okami smiled.

"Nothing, Shu-chan, I'm sure Hisoka-san will tell you in time." Shuichi pouted.

"You know I don’t like being left out of things, ni-chan."

"Hai, hai." Okami lay back against his pillow, "I wonder what happened to Turquoise after I went into a coma."

"Turquoise? After you went into a coma, she screamed out as if she were in pain, and disappeared." said Shuichi, "I suppose our emotions are connected to the holograms."

"I suppose so…but I don’t want to check up on her, not just yet. I don’t want to use the Jewel Computers until Hisoka-san says it's all right."

"You're trusting him too much, ni-chan. You barely trust Ryu-san, why do you trust Hisoka-san so much. It's almost as if he were…"

"Family?" asked Okami, smiling. They heard Hisoka move in his sleep, "Do you remember…when I went to Fukumaden for that ceremony with the prince there?"

"The one that would bind you two together forever?" asked Shuichi.

"Yes, do you remember…"

"Okami, stop." it was Hisoka, "I don’t want to burden Shu-chan with this yet." Okami shook his head.

"No, Hisoka-san, Shuichi has the right to know what's going on. He's the closest person to me, and I trust him more than anyone else in the world." said Okami, "So, Hisoka, you'll either tell him, or I will."

"What are you two talking about?" asked Shuichi, "I…don’t understand…"

"Fine, I'll tell him. You are so stubborn." Okami smiled.

"You keep telling me that."

"Shuichi, I'm your…elder brother."

"But…"

"You have two elder brothers," said Hisoka.

"Then you're part of my family as well?" asked Shuichi. Hisoka nodded, only to be hugged by Shuichi. Okami laughed at the shocked expression on Hisoka's face.

'Laugh now Okami Cloud, this may be the only time you can laugh. I'm about to make my presence known to you. Just wait…a little bit longer…you'll be mine soon…all mine.'

Okami stopped laughing suddenly, making Hisoka and Shuichi look at him, "Ni-chan, is something the matter?" Okami looked around the room, and then at his hands.

"Okami, what's wrong? Did you…sense something?" he looked up at Hisoka and Shuichi, smiling weakly.

"No, no. I'm sure it was just my imagination." Hisoka was about to say something, but decided to let it go, "Where do we go from here, Hisoka-san?"

"What do you mean?"

"What do we do now? About Kishima-jin and the other holograms?"

"I suppose you don’t want to sit around and wait?" asked Hisoka, smiling, "I don’t want you to use the computers…so you can't contact the other Commanders on Eden."

"Actually…yes I can." said Okami.

"Really?"

"I could talk to someone there telepathically, that way I could find out if they found any coma victims. Should I contact them now?"

"Sure." Okami closed his eyes.

"Sora…Sora, can you hear me?"

"Okami?"

"Hai, I'm on Psystar. Have you had any luck with finding the coma victims?"

"No, they're not letting us into the hospital to check it out, and there hasn't been anything on the news that would help out. So if there has been coma victims…they're keeping it quiet."

"Just keep looking, Sora."

"What are you guys doing on Psystar?"

"We're waiting I suppose, we haven’t gotten any new leads so we can't do anything else but wait. I'll be in touch. Take care of yourself."

"Who did you talk to?" asked Shuichi.

"Sora-san actually. She said there hasn't been any news about anything strange happening."

"Knowing them…I suppose they're either trying to cover it up, or nothing's happened." said Hisoka.

"That's what Sora-san thinks." Hisoka leaned back in his chair.

'Something…is about to happen…I just can't place my finger on it…I can't remember what "Hisoka" warned me about in my dream…that was so long ago…Damn my memory.'

"Ni-chan, is something wrong?" asked Okami and Shuichi in unison. Hisoka smiled at them, and sighed.

"Yeah, everything's all right for now."

"For now? What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. Come on, let's go get something to eat."

~Later-on Eden~

Sora and Tai were looking for the coma victims on the computers in Avalon's Shrine, when the phone rang. Tai and Sora looked at each other, and then the phone, "Well, aren't you going to answer it?" asked Tai.

"Me? What about you, you're closer to the phone."

"I'm not the one who told Okami-san we'd look after the Shrine. So, miss we'll look after the Shrine while you're gone, go answer the phone." Sora stood up, and walked to the phone.

"Okay…but what if it's important? I mean we can't exactly help people out."

"Not my problem." Sora picked up the phone.

"M-moshi moshi? Avalon's Shrine, what can I help you with?" she waited for a while, and then gasped, "Fukumaden's ruler?! Y-you mean…you're Akiyama Akito?" she waited again, "Y-you need to t-talk to Okami-san? Well…that's going to be a little hard…You see…he's on Psystar…" again she waited while the Demon prince talked, "You'll contact him telepathically…o-okay…Sayonara." she put the phone down, "Kami-sama…the Demon prince…"

"What did he want?" asked Tai.

"He wanted to talk to Okami-san about something. He said that he would try to talk to him telepathically."

"I got that part, but did he sound angry?"

"No…unemotional really…" said Sora, sighing, "That was kind of scary…"

"Do you think we should tell Okami-san?"

"I'm sure he'll know soon enough."

~Psystar~

Okami was sitting outside under a weeping willow, near a pond. Hisoka and Shuichi were in the castle talking with Kazuo about what they were going to do next. The image of a tall Demon appeared in front of Okami, making him stand up, startled. He had short messy jet-black hair, and deep green cat eyes. Okami sighed when he realized who it was, he leaned against the weeping willow, and smiled at the Demon, "Hey, Akito-san, what are you doing here on Psystar?" the Demon prince waved his hand at Okami, and let it pass through the tree.

"I'm not really here, I'm just a hologram." said Akito.

"What was so important that you'd talk to me using a holophone?"

"You just left Eden without telling me." said Akito, "I just got off the phone with someone at Avalon's Shrine, and she said that you were on Psystar."

"Is something wrong? You can't talk care of Eden for this short amount of time without me?" asked Okami, teasingly.

"Short amount of time?! What are you talking about? You've been gone for more than two months. If you remember, you're the one who's supposed to take care of Eden, not me."

"Now, now, Akito-san. The agreement was that you would take care of Eden in my place." Akito sighed, "Come on, don’t you want to take care of Eden just for a couple of days?" Akito raised his eyebrow, "Fine, it wasn't a couple of days, but what I'm doing it important, Akito-san."

"I understand…When are you coming back?" Okami smiled.

"I don’t know, things are getting really complicated here."

"I could help if you want me to."

"You need to concentrate on ruling, Akito-san."

"Okami, don’t think you can't count on people, it's really selfish of you. You're hurting those who care about you, and I'm sure you don’t want to do that," said Akito, he reached for Okami, but his hand passed through, "I hate holophones." Okami laughed at him. Akito turned away from him for a second, "I've got to go, Suoh needs some help with something."

"Okay. Akito-san, don’t worry. I hate it when people worry about me."

"That’s going to be hard, because I worry about you all the time." he disappeared, leaving behind a blushing Okami.

"What a fruity Demon." muttered Okami.

"Of course, Akito-san's always been fruity character," said Hisoka, walking toward Okami.

"You knew Akito-san too, didn't you?"

"I've known him longer than you have," Okami pouted, "But you're closer to him than I am. You know, that friend of yours, Ryu, you shouldn't tell him about Akito."

"Why not? Ryu's one of my best friends."

"Yeah…but he got jealous when I took care of you last night."

"So you mean…"

"He likes you, Okami."

"But I don’t feel the same way, Hisoka-san. So wouldn't I just be lying to him if I didn't tell him about everything that goes on in my life?"

"You don’t have to tell him everything, especially this."

"Are you afraid of Ryu?" asked Okami.

"You've got to be joking. I'm far more stronger than him," said Hisoka, throwing his hands up in the air, "It's just that I sense something about him that's…different."

"How so?"

"I can't place it." Okami sighed, "What?"

"Nothing. Where's Shuichi?"

"He's either still in the castle with Kazuo-sama or they went off to explore."

"I wonder how long they're going to be," mused Okami, leaning back, "I want to check something out, can you help me?"

"With what?"

"I want to go back to Eden, it'll just be for a little while, but I want to see about the coma victims. I'm sure they'll tell me."

"Just because your rule over them?"

"No, because they fear me." said Okami, slyly, "I know that it's people's personal business…but this could effect the entire world, couldn’t it?"

"I suppose you're right, but shouldn’t we tell the others where we're going?"

"Why bother? Shu-chan and Kazuo-sama are probably off adventuring, and there's no telling when they'll be back. Ryu-san is at Tamika-sama's kingdom and he'll have his hands full looking after her. So we're covered. No one will miss us."

"The holograms?"

"What about them? They should know what's going on if they're using our computers to track us, right?" asked Okami, "That could be what you're sensing."

"No, I really don’t think so. I would know if it were the holograms that I was sensing." Hisoka turned away from Okami, and waved his hand at the younger boy, "But you know…even I…don't know much about the holograms…therefore…I don’t trust them that much…but what Turquoise did the other night…she did that for you. So…maybe we can trust them…in time."

"Are you saying it is safe to use the computers?" asked Okami, trying to sense Hisoka's emotions.

"Now, now. Don't go using your empathic powers on me, remember it doesn’t work on Demons?"

"Which is why Akito can touch me without me feeling his emotions…"

"But of course you knew that already." Okami smiled, "Are you…angry at me for not being around with you when you were younger?"

"What are you talking about, Hisoka-san?"

"You can hide your feelings very well." said Hisoka, "Haven’t you opened up to anyone?"

"Well…Shu-chan…"

"Family doesn’t count, you've been with Shuichi for most of your life."

"Do we have to talk about this now? I want to go see about those other Commanders."

"If I'm not mistaken…didn’t you ask the other Commanders on Eden to look for them while we're gone?" asked Hisoka. Okami nodded, "Then there really isn't any use in going there."

"But they're not having much luck."

"And you think you'd fair better?"

"Yes, yes I do."

"I'd kiss you to shut you up right now, but I can think of two people that would kill me if they ever found out about it." Okami blushed, "Oh, but that had the same effect."

"Shut up."

"Sorry, sorry. Why do you want to leave Psystar so soon? We just got here?"

"I suppose it's because Kishima-jin seems to have something on me right now…She knows my past now, doesn’t she?" asked Okami, looking up at his older brother. Hisoka thought about it for a while.

"I suppose that she would have been able to peer into your past while you were in her trap." said Hisoka, "But I doubt she would have…" he paused, looking out at the pond, 'Then again…she might try using Okami to get what she wants…could she want Ryu…?'

"Hisoka?"

"It might be a good idea…for you to not leave my side from now on."

"What are you talking about?"

"Just trust me, I don’t want anything to happen to you."

"I can take care of myself."

"Can you fight something you don’t understand?" asked Hisoka, turning around to face Okami, "Kishima-jin might be after you, Okami."

"Why me?"

"She wants Ryu."

"Why'd she go after me if she wanted Ryu-san?"

"You really are a dense one, aren’t you?"

"Oro?"

"Nevermind. Just promise me, you won't leave my side." Okami hesitated, "Promise me."

"Okay, okay. I promise, Hisoka-san. But why would Kishima-jin want Ryu?"

"Did Turquoise and the others tell you about Ryu looking a lot like the person who Kishima-jin was in love with?" Okami nodded, "Well, she might think he either survived or that he was reincarnated somehow. Therefore, she wants her revenge on him and the holograms. Since he's a Commander she must think she can take them out in one shot."

"It's so confusing…" muttered Okami.

Oh, and also, I have a little question…Actually it's not a little question it's a big question that will affect this whole story. Who should Okami be with? Akito Akiyama or Ryu Majutsu? If I ask my friends they'll say Akito because they know him better than they know Ryu, so please tell me who you would like for my little Okami to be with. Thanks.
