PROLOGUE:
Written by: Katelyn Devaney and Estelle Stafford
The woman ran as fast as she could into the night, the moon’s silver rays barely illuminating the path before her. The dogs nipped at her heels, the silver dusk rose up as her feet sped on. She had to make it to the portal; to Earth for the sake of her child’s life. She had committed the ultimate sin, and didn’t want her child to pay for it. She had fallen in love with an Earth man, when her planet Silveris was supposed to destroy Earth. Now the only hope for Earth’s survival rested on the shoulder’s of the babe she carried in her arms…her child. Stroking her babe’s velvet cheek she smiled despite herself.
‘There it is!’ she thought anxiously as she neared it.
With trembling fingers she took her gold necklace off her neck and placed it on around her daughter’s small one. The dogs were nearing her, coming closer; their teeth bared, snarling viciously
“Jake please be there,” she pleaded.
“Sil ear sil ear hoi muuunn nadjha!!”
Or
“Time of Silveris time of earth reveal the abysmal and collective hearth!” She whispered as the portal slowly opened.
It’s white light widening into a door of light, Blinding against the black night sky adding to the beauty of the silver planet.
Jake sighed nervously as he continued to speed down the highway. He had had to fight a police officer, but he was now speeding back down the highway. He sat waiting in his car. He had finally made it, to the spot. The spot where he had fallen in love, the spot where he would now save his only child; the only proof and memory he would have of his beloved Lisen. He wondered what his fault would cost them. If he had known the consequences would he have changed his actions, battled against his heart? He sighed and shook his head sadly. He quickly leapt from his car when his distraught brown eyes noticed a white light from the sky drop downwards forming a door; widening slowly. He ran over to see his beloved’s light tan skin hands pushing their child towards him, he looked into her emerald eyes, knowing that it would be last time he would ever look upon her, not breaking her gaze he reached out and took the sleeping child; his child from her arms and yelled
“I love you Lisen”
as she fell backwards into the light, giving a bloodcurdling scream as the portal doors slammed shut and the light made it’s way back up to the heaven’s. tears welled in his eyes as he watched it ascend knowing he would never be able to see or reach out and touch her again as he so desired to…but couldn’t. Glancing up one more time he sighed heavily.
“I love you Lisen,” he breathed into the icy night.
Suddenly remembering the child in his arms he ran quickly to his car. He put his child in a car seat; that he had bought when Lisen was with him and they once had been a family. He locked the car and sped down the highway just as the sky opened up once again and began to pour.
“Darn you,”
A male voice yelled into the night as the portal closed. Lisen cried as she struggled to free herself from the dog’s teeth, ripping into her skin. The man spit on her, and growled. She just smirked at him through the pain and whispered,
“Earth is saved,”
“Only for 18 years, only 18 years,”
“That is still a long wait,”
She said as the dogs bit into her skin and she gave yet another cry.
He just smiled and watched her suffer.
A little boy of about 2 stood by his side. The child’s beautiful blue eyes gazing from his father back to the woman, he quirked his eyebrows in confusion as he looked back and forth between them, his childish mind not comprehending what was going on.
“Come Traysen; let’s leave this horrid woman,”
The man said walking away from the last remainder of the fading white light, the last time it would be opened for 18 years.
Lisen gave one last scream as the dog clamped its teeth through her throat viciously taking away her last breath, her last thought of hope and freedom, victory against her people and the evil they wanted to do against her husband’s beautiful planet.
