"Hiding Place"

Only at Night,
I find a place;
A place to hide
From your smiling face.

When I see you,
Laughter so light,
I wish I could sleep;
I wish it were Night.

It's pathetic, I know,
But I did not mean
To be captured by you,
And yet never be seen.

You continue on,
Oblivious to me;
But I go to my place at Night,
So you can let me be.

Give back what you stole;
Stop this which makes me suffer
Because I cannot stop...

...only at Night,
I am free from you;
I am happy, never sad
About something you will never do.
