Lost in lore
Yet still in tales
Of the present
This one tells

Who most despise
The one who tells truth
Yet somehow always lies

With whom all the answers lie
Who decides who is to live

Who tells naught but tales
Yet when the story ends
Another adventure dwells

Of all this I am
One of the ones of many
I am the present
Only guiding your destiny

Yet still I remain
Though people scowl
When they hear my name

Fickle and mischievous
I have gained laughs
But only from the tears
Of the ones I harass

Pardon my humor
And forgive me of my taste
But I am only but one
Known to all as the Fates

Who will live forever
Who will live alone
Alone as ever

Who sees it all
The pain and suffering
From around a wall

With whom all hopes lie
Who cries when they laugh

Of only one name
There is to know

Cruel to some
Fair to others
Sister to sisters
Brother to brothers

I am the one
Who opens the gate
I am the one
They call Fate.
