And thus I cried and waited
And with time my tears abated
And I drifted into needed restful sleep

And I know You heard my cry
For to it You did incline
You restored my hope by means of one small dream

In the dream I found me walking
Down a sidewalk and me talking
To a friend so true I know that You're in him

And as that time we spent
And as I gave him my lament
He simply listened with an understanding heart

And by the time that I had finished
But my angst still not diminished
Your soothing healing rain then began to fall

And just like he always does
He cheered me up and just because
We are standing in the rain we start to laugh

And in the pouring rain we laughed
And it was bracing, so we danced
Two friends forever praising Your sweet love

And more would join the dancing
And the crowd was fairly prancing
Down the streets, over flowing with sheer joy

And this is when I woke up
And you'd think that I would choke up
Because this will almost certain not come true

But instead I sighed contentment
And I held it no resentment
That I had woken for no clear reason at all

Because my senses were restored
You told me I am loved, dear Lord
And with a smile I rolled over back asleep

And so like the psalmist
I am in a state of calmness
Like in 40 , you have reached out, rescued me.
