Mama

Last night, I told my mother that I watched Ellen DeGeneres’ show.

I said it was funny.

She told me not to watch it, because she was a lesbian.

She told me not to because she was sending subliminal messages to others and be lesbian.

Once, I visited a church, and the message said homosexuality was a sin

Someone beside me said “Good thing the pastor mentioned that.”

“Good thing, because the people in front of us would know it was wrong.”

I wonder if they would ever come again if they heard that.

I was reading critic reviews from Focus on The Family.

They said that Jewel’s song Piece of You was an immoral song.

They said it was bad because she supported homosexuality.

The lyrics just said how a homosexual was discriminated, and felt left out.

It seems that all we do as Christians is accuse other people,

And even when God wants us to help out our brothers and sisters.

What good are we doing by telling them they are sinners, and that they are wrong?

I thought that I was taught God loved everyone.

We feel as Christians, it’s our duty to tell others they are sinners.

But without forgiveness, all we’re really just accusers.
