Daimon opened his eyes and slipped out of his bed. He stretched his body and slowly changed into black clothing. He stopped at the window and gazed outside. "Fars!" He hissed. (Shit)

He jumped up and grabbed a rope. A flight of stairs came down with his body and he scrambled up them as the sounds of people hitting his door sounded throughout the room. He pulled the stairs up and locked the trap door before he ran to the attic window. Daimon pushed it open, grabbed both sides and lundged out.

Minx sighed and leaned back against a tree. "I'm so bored!" He exclaimed.

The birds chirped in the center of the town square and Minx watched as Maruya scattered seeds on the ground for them. The merchants were busily selling their goods to notice anything amiss in the picture and Minx suddenly perked his ears. He stood up and looked around. The birds fluttered around Maruya and she glanced over at Minx, who's eyes were widened with worry. Minx turned to the right and spotted Daimon. He smiled faintly but frowned when he saw the men from two nights before just behind him and hatred fueled into Minx's body. Maruya turned also and her eyes widened as the group raced towards her. "Orina fesuya!" Daimon yelled and waved his arms. (Move away!)

Minx sprinted towards Maruya and pushed her out of the way. She landed in a basket of fruits and Minx whirled around. Daimon's body contacted his and the two skidded on the damp ground. "Get them!" The leader yelled.

Daimon glared at Minx and jumped to his feet. Minx stood up also.

"I want to help you!" Minx exclaimed.

"Come with me then," Daimon snapped and grabbed the young boy's wrist.

Minx's eyes widened at the speed of Daimon's run and he was surprised that he could run this fast. Daimon pushed through a group and sprinted underneath a bridge. They exited the town and turned sharply to the left towards a ruined bridge.

"Where'd they go?" The leader asked as the three men stopped at the ruined bridge.

"I don't know, but if we find them...we'll kill them," his buddy replied with a growl.

The group walked away and underneath the bridge Daimon released his hold on Minx. The two stood up and Minx brushed his clothing off. "You're a foolish idiot! You could have gotten us both killed, what the hell were you thinking?!" Daimon snapped.

Minx looked at Daimon and frowned. "I'm sorry....I just wanted to help," he said.

"Help!? Fe ougish deis vuche lions!" (You only got in the way!)

Minx knew Daimon was yelling at him and instantly he knew that his chances of ever being with the mysterious Daimon was over. Tears streamed down his cheeks and he glanced into Daimon's eyes. "I wanted to help....I'm sorry that I almost got us killed! Just don't say it is all my fault!"

Daimon's eyebrows came together and he frowned. "Look.....I've been running from those men almost all my life and I don't want them to hurt you. I'm sorry for yelling like that, but I was just...worried that they would have hurt you. I don't want to have some innocent boy get hurt by those wretched humans."

Minx sniffled and leaned against a pillar. The wind howled and Daimon smiled. "Look, it's going to storm soon so come inside. I'll make you some soup and we'll make amends for my outburst."

"Okay," Minx replied.

Daimon pushed the door to his second home open and led Minx inside. Inside there were tables set up in the middle and a large pillow pile near the far east side. A small heater or two were next to the pillow pile and the space wasn't really big, but could probably fit nearly four people inside. Daimon walked over to a small stove and motioned for Minx to sit down. "Thank you," Minx said and settled down into a chair.

"Now, what you did wasn't at all your fault. I'm sorry to have yelled at you. I found it really heroic to have saved that young woman back there, that was a good deed," Daimon replied and placed a pot on the stove.

"Maruya is my oldest friend, and maybe my only friend."

"Oh? Why don't you have a lot of friends? Hm?"

Minx blushed and frowned. "I just don't get along well with others."

"Oh, I can relate to that."

Daimon sighed and turned to the younger man. "Are you in any relation to a Manx?"

"No, I've never heard of it."

"Well, it is a she and I thought it was a coincedince that you two shared a common name."

Minx stood up and walked towards the door. "Well, sorry to make this visit short...but...I should go. I need to see if Maruya is alright."

Daimon stepped in front of Minx and that caused Minx to blush a red hue. Daimon smiled. "There's a storm coming, you can stay here for the night if you wish. I'd highly recommend it anyways, because I heard the storm was going to be a heavy one."

The sound of water echoed inside the small house and Minx swallowed hard. The only light that was turned on were candles and the thought of being alone with Daimon with candles made his blood pressure rise slightly. Daimon leaned against the door and glanced into Minx's eyes. "I won't make a move on you, I promise on my word."

"W-who said I was worried a-about that!?" Minx stuttered.

Daimon chuckled and walked around Minx. "I can see it in your eyes, besides....I'm not that kind of guy," Daimon replied.

He picked up his sketchbook and turned to Minx. "I've seen you a couple of times and wondered a lot if you'd want to model for me. I've drawn Maruya and never did I get the chance to capture you."

Minx swallowed hard again and coughed. "You want me to model for you?!"

His heart drummed frantically against his chest as he realized his dreams were coming true and he hoped that this wasn't a dream. Daimon nodded and motioned to the pillow pile. "Just sit down and I'll be in a chair," he said.

Minx practically skipped to the pillow pile and settled down amongst the silky pillows. He looked at the candles and Daimon dropped down into a chair. "Now, look normal....I want to capture reality in this book."

"Alright," Minx whispered.

Daimon sketched in his book and Minx sighed silently. His heartbeat had quickened and he felt as though he was on top of the world at this moment. "Now, our colony forbids people like us," Daimon said.

People, Minx gasped, like us?!

"Rebels of our colony....that's what we are and we cannot change it for better or for worse. Now can we?"

"No," Minx breathed.

Daimon looked at Minx and placed his sketchbook on the table. Minx's heartbeat raced as Daimon walked over to him and smiled. "Yet we can make the best of it," he whispered.

Minx closed his eyes as Daimon's lips touched his and Minx's mind exploded in heat. Minx parted his lips as Daimon's tongue pleaded to be inside and Daimon clenched Minx's hands. Their fingers intwined and Minx smiled in his head. Minx pulled his hands away and ran them through Daimon's hair as the two shared a passionate kiss.
