Yeah, some of the lines are cheesy, I know. I enjoy rhymed poetry and songs, actually prefer them, and so some of the cheesiness was necessary to fulfill rhymes. Anyway, please enjoy and if you would, drop a review.

Something

There's something in your eyes-- something I can't see.
There's something in your voice, when you speak those words to me.
There's something, I don't know--something you won't say
There's something you've kept from me--something your heart can't relay

"I love you" was what you said to me
But I know, I know, that's not what you mean
You've found someone else, someone you love more
And tonight you're leaving me, you're walking out that door.

There's something about her-- calling out to you
This day had to come--that's something I just knew
Well I hope you're both real happy-- that no harm comes your way
And as I lay alone at night I'll wonder if you wish you'd stayed.

Such blinding words spoke so affectionately
You never really meant it, you ran away with her
And now everything I hold so dear has left me in a blur.

There's nothing left for which to live now that you're away
There are no more tears left to cry and nothing left to say
There's only time to guide my way-- to light a darkened path
To help me find my way back home and restore piece of mind at last

I've closed the book, moved my mind out of the past
