Disclaimer: The poem’s mine, so don’t steal. Enough said. And if this comes across as perverted to you . . . I’m telling you now, I wasn’t talking/thinking of that dominated. *sighs*
In a society filled with
war and pain and suffering
and loss
and loathing
and prejudice
and degradation
and inequality
something jars us back to earth
one race – one gender – is still putting up with
downgrading and
prejudice
they allow man to order them around
well, not order around exactly –
it’s for the men to decide when it’s time to go
to leave a party
but yet, even though they’re dominated
90% of the time
and outnumbered –
they’re respected deeply
looked up to as role models
are incredible people who have
faced, dealt with
got through
many hardships
that,
no matter how hard the men try,
they never will be
dominated.
No matter how hard the men try
They never will be dominated
