A/N: I know that some of the sentences are grammatically incorrect but they were done on purpose. Take note that this was written in the perspective of a child.

Alone in the dark my heart longs,
To find a friend or a place to belong.
The filthy roads, the hunger pains,
Would not disappear as night came.

Deep in the darkness was a beam of light,
Shining forth with all it's might.
A hand coming from the skies above A hand of kindness, a hand of love.

A hand that pulled me from the darkness,
Into a new realm of happiness.
The beam of light shone unto me,
Revealing a face I've never see.
A face of love, a face of care,
That would take away all dispair.

"Where have you been?" I asked.
And it replied not behind a mask.
"I would be here as I was before"
"Looking after you forevermore."
