Plea

It feels like it could never end
Is this only the beginning?
I watch the clock
The disinfectant smell
That just reminds you of death
All this amounts
But nothing is ever happening
How many people died today?
How many are in mourning?
I don't know
I don't know anything right now
Why?
Why me?
Why you?
I'm not the only one here scared
But yet I feel alone
Darting eyes with consoling looks
I feel like I'm the one with issues
What did I do?
But this isn't about me
This is all for you
Perhaps if it had been you before
Then this wouldn't have happened?
