You Can Talk To Me

Nothing makes sense

Nothing matters

Can you feel the anger?

Can you feel the hatred?

I can hear the silence

And it’s deafening

Block out the screaming

Tear down the pages

Of a broken history

Because they don’t know you

They don’t understand you

And they don’t care

But I know you

And I care

You can talk to me...

Bleed for your suffering

Let it flow for your pain

Can you feel anything?

Do you feel so numb?

I can hear the anguish

And it’s deafening

Write out the screaming

In bloodstained pages

Of a broken heart

Because they don’t know you

They can’t understand you

And they don’t care

But I know you

And I care

You can talk to me...

Sit down on this couch dear

Don’t you be afraid now

You’re safe here with me

Will you let me listen?

Let me hear your tears

I’ll be comforting

Talk out all that pain

And I’ll write on pages

Of a notebook’s pad

How they don’t know you

How they can’t understand you

How they don’t care

75 dollars

For the hour

And you can talk to me...
