Crimson regret pangs over unwanted tears
Your betrayal cuts me like a knife
With my tourniquet no where in sight
There's no salvation for my fears
No one there to wipe away these tears
I know I should not cry over you
Because there was nothing to loose
But rejection from you
My unrequited love
Is more than I can bare
Can you see the paper flowers?
As I lay here for hours
My life slowly slipping away
As the blood flows out my veins
Into the wooden box, where I lay
That you built for me with each blow
My salvation lays beside me
A broken hope now torn
Your hate pierces my heart
As you let my numb hands go
Can't you see that I loved you?
All my attempts were in vain
To show you how to love another
But you've let all my hope drain
The evanescence of my dreams
Of my hopes for you and me
Drift away on clouds of incense
To ward away the scent of my dying body
Though you will never touch my soul
I stare at you
As I draw one last scathing breathe
The last thing that I say to you
"Our love was never meant."
