Sands of Egypt wander afar
Moon of silver blossoms with delight
Down a street of abandoned bazaars
A child of six walks though the night
Disguised under a cloak of vile black
Her body appears innocently naïve
From behind a hood of golden silk
Demonic eyes blaze an angry red
This youth was born in a world of silence
A place where darkness has a queen of light
Here, inspiration is the only river untainted
Yet even the souls of sinner dare not lie
Somehow this child has found a way to escape
Her spirit has been rekindled into a safer realm
But in exchange for this freedom
The price she paid was her mind
Now without a fulfilling essence
Her body journeys 'lone by itself
Through the deserts of once Pharaoh's pride
As empty as the leftovers of time...
