LONDON, ENGLAND 1995
The dark shadows seemed to cling to him and the crowd seemed to part. This was the man who had terrizoed London for ten years. He was a legend. His name was dare not be spoken. But here he was. A dark pair of eyes hidden by black sunglasses. His black boots clinked on the marble floor as he stared at the people before him.
Slowly he adjusted his long leather jacket. He reached down to the belt of his black pants to make sure his gun was still there. His raven hair shifted over his sunglasses as he smirked. He was here. The man that he was searching for was here somewhere. His dark eyes slowly scanned the bar for the man he was looking for. There! There he was sitting defanitly behind his friends. He didn’t seem bothered by his presence at all.
The shadowed man reached for his gun and shot the man before he had time to blink. He wasn’t blinking now. The stunned crowd that was squeezed into this bar, stood in terrified silence. No one made a move as the shadowed man made his way outside.

SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO 2000
The morning sun crept over the mountains of the quiet little ranch. The sun poured like honey over the windows filling the dark rooms with light. A figure stirred in the large clumps of blankets on a tiny bed. A sea of auburn hair sprayed over the silky white pillow.
“And on today’s weather…” The sleeping figure turned over lazily and slammed her fist on the clock. The sound of the cheery weatherman faded out.
Slowly the sleeping figure stood up and tripped to the door of the room. A frustrated grunt came from the figures mouth as she slowly shuffled to the bathroom. The dark bathroom flooded with light and the figure looked in the mirror. The sea of auburn hair fell over the sleepy hazel eyes of a beautiful girl named Aiden.
Aiden yawned as she pulled her waist length hair back into a messy ponytail. “Clothes.” she mumbled. “That’s what I need. Clothes.” Aiden stumbled back into her room and began to throw clothes out of her drawers looking for what she wanted to wear. “Ah, this will do.” she mumbled.
She slowly pulled on a pair of tight black leggings and an over sized grey t-shirt.
A large golden retriever bounced to her side as she left the room. “Hey Johnny.” she cooed. “What’s on the agenda for today huh?” Johnny barked in response and headed for his food dish. “Ah, that’s what we need. Food.”
Aiden laughed and headed into the kitchen. She was only confronted by an empty refrigirator and cabinets. “We really do need food. Come on Johnny! Time to take a ride.”
Aiden lived in a small ranch style house in New Mexico. It was in the middle of nowhere and she had a large property. It was left to her by her grandfather after he died. She loved it. It was beautiful. The best part was that the nearest neighbor and town was ten miles away. So that meant she had peace and quiet.
Aiden walked to her door and motioned for Johnny to run to the car. Today was going to be a miserable day. She could tell. The sun that once filled the beautiful blue sky was now clouded by dark clouds.
“The rain’s coming Johnny.” she shouted. But she still needed food so she continued to her car. The ride to the nearest market was long and peaceful. She laughed as Johnny stuck his head out the window and let the breeze blow back his fur. Johnny was all that she had in this world.
Her parents had died when she was a little girl. She was raised by her grandparents. Then five years ago when she was twenty five they had died in a car accident. They had left the house to her and now she lived on her own. She enjoyed the peace and quiet and the scenery but sometimes it just got lonely.
“Come on Johnny. Back inside. Were almost there.” Aiden arrived at the market a few mintues later and told Johnny to be a good boy and stay in the car. She slowly shuffled her feet to the front door and was confronted by exicted chatter.
“Did you hear?” The old woman behind the counter looked at Aiden. “No, what happened Mrs. Timbers. The old woman looked at her in shock and started to pour out the story. “I can’t believe you haven’t heard. It’s been all over town. Somebody was murdered in town last night. They are blaming it on a hit man.”
Aiden looked at Mrs. Timbers in shock. “Really?” she asked. The old woman nodded her head. Aiden moved down the cramped isles quickly and gathered what food that she could. A storm was coming and a hitman was on the loose. She just wanted to get home.

“Come on Johnny!” Aiden shouted from her porch. She turned to unlock her door when she heard Johnny start to growl and bark. He rarely did that. “Johnny? What’s the matter?” she asked, slowly turning around. Aiden let out a loud, frightened scream when she turned.
A man stood before her. He was dressed all in black. His dark sunglasses and raven hair covered his face. She noticed his blood stained hands holding his arm and the side of his torso. She couldn’t move and couldn’t speak. “Help me.” he mumbled as his blood stained body crumbled to the floor at her feet.
