nothing unusual

like love on the lifeline,
music telling me the truth-
it takes too much compassing,
so the mind's eye speeds away
from logic and throws me
out the window to the side,
on the road I always walk with you,
where the music is calling me.

and can't we share this?
can't I find where it goes,
this endless charade of soul-
when all you tell me is the truth,
or anyway that's how it looks to be.

who did you think you were
to call this shot
who did you think I was
to take it without question-
just the girl I made myself out to be
to you, for you, and your sake.

it always was like me to try
and attempt to heal the wounds.
always I want to fix you
broken boys
and end up breaking myself.
