Something Beautiful

There is something beautiful in your pain

Something about the way you cry

As perfect tears run down your cheeks

Eyes glowing blue over dark lashes

You have me spellbound.

There is something wonderful in your heartbreak

Your trembling limbs

Face alight with fear

Too afraid to stand up and run

Too tired to see my smile.

There is something intoxicating in your sigh

The defeated hunch of feeble shoulders

Soft utterances on your lips

Utterly broken, like your fragile spirit

I can dance to that music.

There is something hurting deep inside you

Something dark with beauty entrancing

But when I try to duplicate

To recreate

There is something terrible in causing it myself.

Author's Notes: I adore constructive criticism, and take it to heart, but pointless flames are used to light my proverbial cigarettes. I know that my feeble writing is a plague to the world of poetry; thank you very much. I hope that you enjoyed. If not, I apologize for wasting half a minute of your life.

Love and angst,

Vivica
