The World can Wait

Today was a more or less normal day. It was school picture day as well as "International Talk-Like-a-Pirate Day" according to some. In science we studied how the media targets groups of people by taking advantage of that group's personal interests. Ah, Pinesville.
It's a messed-up world out there, what with corruption in the government and an overinflated crime rate, here in our own special country. And lately, the news has been saying there's evidence of another threat of a more supernatural-sounding nature. Sounds like superpowers to me. It also sounds like a bunch of crap. I probably picked it up in the tabloids, I can't remember where I heard it. Oh well, until there are superheroes, the world can wait.
