Death Wish

I wish to escape life,

Take a breath away from pain,

Why give me this choice,

To fear life,

Yet regret death?

It is no choice at all,

Stuck within conflict,

To live or to die,

Both unsure, both unwanted,

Free me from this pain,

Of not embracing myself,

Free me from this pain,

That manifests itself,

This harshness is too brutal,

Wearing away this strand,

That could not cope no more,

It is hard to live,

What more so to die?

Free me from this pain,

Of not knowing myself,

Free me from this pain,

That teaches me itself.
