Twilight

Amber-golden beams

Distorted by summer grass

Lushly emerald

Sun sinking golden

Kissing the treetops goodbye

Staining the green leaves

Soft dew dropped purple

Petals in the dusky light

Lift their faces to the moon

Crickets in the brush

Fireflies tantalizing

The eye in the night

Spring peepers sing from

The shadows, a melody

To lull the dreamer...
