Winter Light

I crave a winter’s evening...

Just to sit before a window

And watch the flakes tumble from the stars,

Watching them fall from the great black night.

Sitting by my only lamp

When the whole house lies in sleep

Reaching back in my mind

To view now-faded visions of summer blooms

And sun-dappled green

The only sound is silence

Ringing in the frosty air I feel,

Though I lie in the warmth of my covers

The winter’s sleep seeps far and deep into my bones...

A/N: *Sigh* I love watching it snow at night...It makes me feel so bad for people in California and Florida...Please review, I just started writing poetry again and I really need help from all of you...Thanx ^_^!
