Love

People say that love is affection
For someone special.
Love is great,
Love is finding your soul mate.

Love is physical,
Love is pain,
Love is pleasure,
Love is kind.

Love is emotion,
It makes you laugh,
It makes you cry,
It makes you feel warm inside.

Love hits you fast and it hits you hard,
Love's just that way.
And it makes you laugh and it makes you cry
Because that's what love is.

You'll never see it coming,
Love just works like that,
And you'll curse this feeling
And hate that you feel it.

But love is not hateful,
No, love is kind and bright.
It's always hard in the beginning,
But it can be right.

You'll laugh,
You'll cry,
You wish you could die,
Because love is full of lows and highs.

You'll hurt,
You'll howl
At the pain that's fowl,
But it will not be inert.

You'll see stars,
You'll see dreams,
You'll see happiness,
You'll see rainbow beams.

You'll hate,
You'll fancy,
You'll sadden,
You'll wail.

But that's what love is all about.

Love is take you on a ride,
Full of turns,
Bumps,
And tides.

You'll feel sick at the end,
Not know that the decent,
Is really your fall.

Your decent from solitude
Was unexpected and rough,
You got hurt and you cried,
You were filled with joy and delight.

And then you're just in love.

AN: This poem came about literally out of nowhere. I was printing an essay when the original four verses of this poem came into my head. I immediately wrote then down. Months later, for a project I finished it. I don't think I like how it came out all too much.
