A thousand little children,
Look out cross silver panes,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
For You-know-Who's red sleigh.

A thousand little children,
Go off to sleep that night,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
That he'll stop by this night.

A thousand little children,
Can't wait for morrow's morn,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
For cotton candy-corn.

A thousand little children,
Know all his tale by heart,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
To see his sleigh depart.

A thousand little children,
Sing carols late at night,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
That he'll come down tonight.

A thouand little children,
Close their weary eyes,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
They say their last good-byes.

A thousand little children,
Wake up the next same day,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
For presants from the sleigh.

A thousand little children,
Sing their lulla-byes in bed,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
'Fore they rest their weary heads.

A thousand little children,
Wake up by early morn,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
For cookies and milk to be gorne.

A thousand little children,
Live their lives upon a tale,
Wishing, Waiting, Hoping,
For Sugarplums not to fail.
