Loneliness

Crippling loneliness,
Like a heavy weight on your heart,
Pushing it down, down,
Burying it within your sorrows.

Comforting loneliness,
All that you've ever known,
Reminding you that nothing ever changes,
That no one will stay with you forever.

Truthful loneliness,
Something you can depend on,
Something you need to grow used to,
And accept as a permanent state of mind.
