Trapped in an ugly cage of words
Snared and hung with empty promises she was.
But the only thing holding her
Is the betrayal of a trust
That never exsisted.

She could very turn into
What they say she is.
If that's what she wanted to be.
But she won't do it just because they don't like it.
She hopes.

She's shred her heart against the words,
Trying to escape.
And when makes it to the edge,
Her own promises, twisted, come to her.
They take her wrist and pull her back,
Eyes wide with the thought of betrayal.

Back in her cage she struggles
She had gotten out, she could do it again.
But it isn't just her heart she's shred,
Against all these ugly words
There's nothing left of her to get out.
Get out of these crimson glistening, twisted words.
