The Nut and the Tree

I sit and I sit beneath the oak tree
And I stare at the acorn
Then back at the tree.
Surely not how can it be
That a simple nut
Can grow into a regal tree.
I sit and I sit beneath the oak tree
And I stare at the acorn
Then back at the tree.
Surely not how can it be
Such a small nut
Such a big tree.
I sit and I sit beneath the oak tree
And I stare at the acorn
Then back at the tree.
There are forces unknown
At work in this nut
Allowing it to grow into a tree
God is at work shaping this tree.
