Night Lights II

Moon
Light the heavens
With your milky shine

Rest
Upon the black and blue

Cast down
Luminance

Sight
By holy vines

Gleaming
Peace

I never knew

Stars
You envy

Stars
You dim

Stars
I love you

Smile again

Blackened wall
You’re spangled with

Diamonds
Timeless

And
A pearl of light

Twinkling
in all our eyes
Speaking
to all our minds

Gazing up
Into the night

Fastened in
Their silver trance

There reigns harmony

…Till daylight.

–Jess (JMF) Angel

Author's Note: A type of free verse version (sporadic rhyming here and there) of my poem “Night Lights.” I had a request for it and decided to give it a shot.
